I loved the menu as it had great variety. The black been soup and the orzo soup were wonderful. I do not recommend the chile rellenos.

Gypsy Cab Company has a great atmosphere. It is very clean. Food and service is outstanding. We had chicken enchiladas with black beans and rice AND Cuban sandwich with pasta salad, (took half the food home) along with two beverages for $26. Great value!

Excellent food with a nice atmosphere. Eggplant parmesan was outstanding. Plenty of food on the plate, too. Good service. Highly recommended.

We went at an odd time of day, around 3:30. We tried 4 other restaurants but they either were dinner only, or close between lunch and dinner. We saw activity here and stopped. Uplifting decorations. Bright colors. We passed on beer and wine but there was a nice list. The service was great . Our server explained the portion size... More

If your tastes run to yucky, chain restaurant food, e.g., Outback, Chili's, Cotton Patch, etc., keep on driving. But if you enjoy eclectic, friendly, made-from-scratch unique fare, you might like Gypsy Cab Company. Not quite in the oh-so-popular old town part of St. Augustine, GCC was recommended to us by a 30 year visitor to St. Augustine, that we met... More

My husband had the Cuban wrap, a novel way to serve a Cuban sandwich. It was delicious. I had the Muffaletta which was like in New Orleans. Excellent sandwich. When you go try a house salad with their homemade dressing. It is a mustard, garlic and a must try. You can buy the bottled dressing. Service was excellent.

Out of the downtown area (over the bridge on the island east of downtown) is where you will find this restaurant. My rating is for the overall experience - not just the food. The building is fairly run down and made up of smallish rooms. Different but not bad. It's just older. The waitress we had was brand new (she... More

All reviews are, in part, based on the diner's expectations, we expected good things. The pros: very friendly welcoming staff from start to finish (JoAnn was our waitress). The menu was small and eclectic with unique offerings. The food was very nicely prepared and the portions were ample. The chicken breast was moist complemented by a nice sauce. The London... More

A friend recommended this restaurant to my husband. It was a short drive from the historic district. Delicious entrees and great service! The decor was a little quirky but just right for a beachy resort town. The Veal Pesada melts in your mouth! A must try!
