Food was excellent. Beautiful isn't even a good word to describe this restaurant. They offered us free champagne since it was our first Valentines day as a married couple! I will be back every-time!

We stopped by Cafe Alcazar for lunch with our 2 young boys. Not only was the food delicious, but the location is super unique. Not everyday do you get to dine at the bottom of a historic swimming pool. The curried chicken salad was amazing. Our boys had the kids cheese pizza and actually ate it (great portion sizes too-enough... More

Our Proprietors of our B&B Inn told of this hidden place. After having dined all over the world this place tops them all. You dine in what was one of the world's biggest swimming pools at that time. The pool filled in and is hidden in the Lightner Museum. You are surrounded with Tiffany stained glass, marble pillars, and the... More

The Alcazar was a fantastic choice for a very pleasant lunch. It is located in the swimming pool of the Alcazar Hotel. Our waiter was very professional and helpful. The soup, salad, and half sandwich were very good. Make this a must for lunch while in St. Augustine.

We had lunch here on our recent vacation. Let me say that the structure alone is worth the trip. The restaurant is located in what once was an indoor poor at this former super luxury hotel/casino. It's just amazing to sit during lunch and look at the opulence and imagine what life must have been like in it's youth. The... More

This is a lovely spot for a rest during your tour of St. Augustine. The ambiance is fantastic. Be sure to visit the museum. I liked the menu options. I had the cheese plate with meats ($16.95) and my husband had the soup and sandwich ($12.50). There is a nice wine selection. Service was quick if you are in a... More

We got a recommendation from the hop on hop off bus tour to try this place. They are located in what used to be the worlds largest swimming pool. Excellent food and great ambiance with a guitar player.

Wow, wow, wow! The food, the service, and the ambiance were excellent. I had a turkey, bacon, avocado sandwich with Asian slaw. It was tasty and fresh, cost about $14.95 and was huge. I highly recommend visiting at lunch time. An excellent out of the way cafe.

...in a lovely setting. We love the Lightner Museum and thoroughly enjoyed our lunch in this unique building with amazing character. With such great ambiance, we were a little surprised at the quality of the food. Prices are a little high, but the food is well worth it ! Try the soups (all great) and the curried chicken salad sandwich... More
