We've been coming to O'Steens for 35 years and when in St. Augustine you need to come across the Lions Bridge and visit O'Steens for some golden fried shrimp, scallops, oysters, and crab cakes. They don't serve alcohol and the menu is simple but you will always be pleased with the quality and quantity of fresh seafood. Family owned and... More

Anytime we make it to St Augustine we eat here. The shrimp is the best as are the hush puppies. The side dishes green beans and sliced tomatoes we had were also great. The service is always friendly and as anyone will tell you worth the wait if their is a line

We get down to St. Augustine about once a year and this is always our first stop (of more than one!). The shrimp cannot be fresher! The breading is light and what makes it SO amazing! Best shrimp anywhere. Worth waiting the line with all the friendly people. The vegetables are always good as are the daily specials-especially the fried... More

My father in law has been coming here for years before they started bringing me. I can see why. We come up at least once a year. He's a big fan of their Minorcan Chowder and shrimp. I have to agree on the shrimp (the chowder isn't my cup o tea). I love that it's very relaxed and easy going... More

This is the only place my wife (which is a big time foodie) will eat shrimp. The restaurant is always busy because it is OUTSTANDING, simple as that. If you don't mind waiting a bit to eat some incredible food (their side dishes are all amazing too and made with seasonal and local produce) that's your place in St. Augustine.... More

After years of hearing folks say that this place has the best fried shrimp we had to give it a try. The place is small so you might have to wait an hour or longer. The staff is friendly. The hush puppies are some of the best we have ever had. However the shrimp was so salty we almost sent... More

We have tried numerous places including places that have won the title "best of" and none can compare to O'Steens. Service and food is first rate. Most people come for the large fried shrimp which you can get with 2 sides of choice and hush puppies. However there are other great things on the menu. You need to get here... More

Reading the reviews, I was expecting something special. The Minorcan chowder was good; flavorful and quite hearty. I should have stopped there. I ordered the seafood platter. It was adequate, but nothing special. The hushpuppies were downright awful. On the bright side, the coconut cream pie had one of the nicest and flakiest crusts that I have encountered in a... More
