For a family of five it cost us 27.00!!!! For the smallest portions available - wow. Disappointed that there was no strawberry, raspberry, cherry. Although the St. George St. area is expensive overall so the price was not totally out of line.....we would not go back, we would try a different place the next time. Not sure why they do... More

Intriguing menu brought us inside. They weren't overly filled with guests, but seemed a bit overwhelmed. What we ordered was acceptable, but not perfect. Staff just seemed tired and things weren't clicking for sure.

So tired of walking we stopped in for lunch. My husband and I loved it. The food was fresh and served fast. The best thing I absolutely love was the Lemon Sorbet after our lunch. Super refreshing. You must try the Sorbet.

Had a cup of pineapple gelato, and I'm not kidding, it was one of the best things I ever ate. Texture, flavor...fabulous!

After a few hours of shopping we stopped for some gelato. My husband is a bit more 'selective' than I am and the server was very patient while we sampled a few different flavors. The two scoop dish was great and more than enough for the two of us. The employees are very kind, the cafe was very clean and... More

This is a cosy restaurant on the pedestrian walk in St. Augustine. We shared a vegetable panini with chips and a pickle , just fine. Then we had the Dulce con leche gelati served in the same place...fabulous! This is a great choice for a simple lunch and the gelatis are equal to anything I've tasted in Italy!

Forget about getting gelato anywhere else BUT at the Cafe Hidalgo! They have the BEST AND THE MOST VARIETIES of gelato of all the places in St. Augustine! ''Tis a wee bit expensive ($4.50) but by all means worth every penny!! They also give you 2 scoops of different flavors! Their food is superb and fresh if you are there... More

We stopped here while shopping and found what is basically a sandwich shop and gelato store to be a real find. You need to order and pay for your sandwiches at a counter, but there is lots of very comfortable inside and outside seating. My wife and I had sandwiches and were pleasantly surprised at the quality as well as... More

Staff could have been friendlier but the gelato was fabulous. Had the cheesecake gelato. Stop here for at least a taste.

We actually stopped here because Colombia was full, but we were glad that we did! The Mona Lisa panini was one of the best sandwiches I've had. The cafe itself has great decor and we loved the old Spanish style chairs and tables. Great gelato too.

Thank Gregg L
