Made reservations online to sit inside. When we got to the restaurant the hostess was rude, crude, arrogant and abrasive. She told us they were sold out and we would have to sit upstairs. It turns out they were not sold out and since we...are not regulars wanted us to sit upstairs to get us out of the way. She looked up the last time I visited the restaurant which she said was 2013, this was not true since I had been there twice in 2019, I didn’t visit last year do to COVID. The waiter was anxious to take my plate before I finished my meal. The food is good but overpriced. It will be a long time until I visit this restaurant again. There are too many good restaurants in the area where one doesn’t have to put up with poor treatment.More

Cafe Chardonnay Located in an unassuming strip mall is this lovely bistro serving delicious food. The ambiance is very pleasant and charming with both patio and indoor dining. We wandered in without a reservation, and were lucky to get a table. (This restaurant is jammed!)...The food and service was so very good (thank you Mike) we returned the next evening as well (this time with a reservation). The menu options were so well curated and very appealing with popular offerings (filet mignon, pastas, fish, etc.) or a bit more exotic (elk, octopus). The preparations are spot on, with Macadamia encrusted yellowtail and oysters Rockefeller being the most notably delicious. If the terrific food and very good service were not enough, the kitchen was also very accommodative to dietary requests. Thank you Cafe Chardonnay for two consecutive evenings of great dining. We are so happy we wandered in!More

we dined there on July 31, 2020... we made a reservation which was reconfirmed. During " Covid -19 all members of the star wear a mask. we were greeted cheerfully, we had a lovely table on one of the decks, looking out to tropical plants....The table was nicely set with white linen. Our very personal, efficient waiter " Tom ", brought the menu, and wine list. He mentioned the various menu items available and said he will return and answer any questions we might have... Tom returned, we selected the Cabernet Sauvignon 2016 from the winery Salvestrin... this red wine is simply top of the line and outstanding...we stetted for starter the " Wild Mushroom Strudel " with sautéed woodland mushrooms over fontina fonduta... ( Tom explained this phrase ) ..my wife had a delicious Caesar Salad... for the main course we selected the Grilled Filet Mignon, with Potato gratin, and Broccoli... it was so tender and a large portion, we also ordered a Seafood Risotto, with 1/2 Lobster, Mussels, Shrimps, Clams, Calamari & Salmon.... Tom made sure that my request is taken care of, which was to have the Shrimps totally pealed. To top it all off * TOM * offered us a Flowerless Chocolate Torte, decorated with Strawberries and Blueberries and real Whipped Cream...the real McCoy... all in all we had a fantastic evening, and we will be back, Tom provided excellent service, we salute him for a job well done... the restaurant was very busy and the food come out on time as well...all staff appeared in clean uniforms...my wife comes frequently with her girlfriends for LUNCH to la ChardonnayMore

We went to this restaurant the first night for appetizers only and the choices were so good that we didn't know which ones to try, but ended up with crab cake, mushroom strudel and scallops. All were great. We returned the next night for dinner...and so glad we did. The duck was perfect. Another in our group had yellow tail snapper and said it was the best fish he had ever had. Another had rack of lamb. I can't wait to return when I go back to that area.More

Don’t waste your money, we made reservations for 4. They made it a big deal when the two of us showed up first. We arrived 5 minutes early, “Does your party know reservations are at 5:30?” Then approached us at our table “we do have...another reservation at 7:00, since you were late, which we were not! We felt rushed from the beginning. Average age is 80. Food mediocre, don’t bother with an overpriced appetizer. We got the crab and shrimp, 2 shrimp and 4 small pieces of crab. I’ve wanted to go to this restaurant for over 20 years. NOTHING SPECIAL!!More

If you need a place to celebrate an occasion, this is it! We dined on my birthday, at a table covered with little Happy Birthday signs and it couldn't have been nicer. We each started with a Tanqueray Gin and tonic. Our server, Mike, brought...some crusty bread with a delightful spread to the table. We shared a Caesar Salad. Both opted for the pan seared Veal Scallopine with hand made Gnocchi, Spinach, sun dried Tomatoes and Marsala. Just delicious!. They treated us to a flourless Chocolate Birthday "cake", sinfully caloric and we both had coffee to go with it. A most enjoyable Birthday, not soon forgotten,More

Sunday 2/23 after attending the Palm Beach Jewelry, Art, Antiques and Design Show we decided to call and make 5PM dinner reservations for 3. We have visited this venue on previous occasions while in the West Palm Beach area and have had good experiences. However,...this time it was a total disaster. We arrived about 4:45PM, since the Restaurant's opening schedule was 5PM. We waited outside till we were told we could come in. Another couple arrived at the same time we did, and they where shown to their table, a third party arrived but he went inside the Restaurant before we did and was also given a table. We were the 3rd and only other party at the time and were shown to a table on the second floor. Since we had my senior mother with us, my husband asked if we could have a table on the first floor. We were shown to a table by the Restroom door. My husband does never seats by a kitchen, bathroom or entrance doors, therefore he walked to the hostess desk and since the Restaurant was empty asked for another table, he was told there was nothing else available and since we booked our reservations just a few minutes before, they had no other table to give us.....by then I decided to join him on his quest, and a man who appeared to be a Manager, overhead me saying "why can we not be given a table that we are comfortable at" ......to what he replied my husband was just being a " stick in the mud"........at this point my husband decided to leave the Restaurant. I believe people in the hospitality industry have the duty to be courteous and polite. At no point were we rude or demanding. The young hostess who's been there for years......could have found us a table if she wished, we reside over one hour away from this restaurant. Therefore may not be considered regular or frequent customers.....but the treatment we received was just not acceptable. I am sorry the have become so inhospitable.More
