This was my 5th trip to Disney, but I had never been to Kona. I had heard lots of hype about it, especially the "Tonga Toast." So on our most recent trip, we made sure to get reservations there for breakfast. I'm SO disappointed that...More

This used to be one of my favorites "a hidden gem" on Disney property and until they bring back the Polynesian Plate Lunch - Pan-fried Chicken with Coconut and Mango Sauces; served with Sticky Rice and Pasta Salad - I WONT be back. This has...More

It's painful to write a negative review for this iconic eatery at the Poly. We've been eating at the Kona practically since it opened. A recent visit confirmed what we thought on the last two visits, the Kona cafe has given up. The employees look...More

Two thick slices of sourdough bread, sandwiching banana slices, dipped in a cinnamon-y batter, fried to perfection and served with a strawberry compote. You're welcome.

I will start by saying the service was not as great as usual. They seemed a little "off" and were not working as a team. Even with this, the meal was fantastic! We brought guests from New England and my friend's mother. The sushi was...More

We come to Disney a lot and like coming to the Polynesian and to the Kona Cafe. The food is good but of course pricey to be expected if you are going to the resort. My only complaint and a consistent one with all my...More

We always order the Tonga Toast and an order of the pork shoulder and share each. Service is always quick and only a few steps away from the monorail

I don't know what they were thinking when they changed the menu but it is terrible. The food has no flavor and the sushi menu is tiny now. The shrimp tempura roll with mango is not even offered anymore. Also ordered the pistachio crusted grouper...More

After 20 plus years this is my first non 5 star Kona review. The new menu is a disappointment. The Asian noodle bowl remains and is a family favorite but the other choices made me unhappy. I settled on a Dashi Bowl. Basic soup with...More

We've been here twice before, and Kona Cafe doesn't disappoint, but menu items do seem to change often. Tonga toast is good (though it does taste different than it used to). My boyfriend loved the pulled pork hash (though it was recently taken off the...More

Good question! So Kona Cafe uses Joffrey's Coffee. They make the Kona Blend coffee that Disney uses and you can buy it online. It can be found at Joffrey's website disney parks and resorts under kona-blend The Disney... More

My husband and I are on the dining plan, but I thought that we could eat here one morning for breakfast and pay out of pocket. We don't want to eat too much for breakfast since we have so much food on the dining plan already. Normally, we just split a breakfast plate, but I wasn't sure if that was allowed here. Does anyone know if we would be able to just order one order of tonga toast and a couple of drinks?

I am hosting a birthday dinner here, for 16. We have a dinner reservations at 6:50, but we are all supposed to be in front of Epcot by 8:00PM, for an escort to our 8:30PM dessert party (They will wait for us out by the flagpole, so maybe there will be a few minutes of leeway?). Can anyone tell me if this is even remotely feasible, or am I crazy to think we could order, be served, eat, and get to the flag pole in 70 minutes (or so)? How about if I arrange for taxi vans to take us over? Does that change anything? Help! Thanks.

We were there twice a couple of weeks ago and neither time did we actually get seated at the time of our reservation. Once we waited about 5 minutes and the other time about 15. I think it would be nearly impossible for 16... More

The Kona Cafe infuses a bit of Asian zest into traditional American breakfast, lunch and dinner fare in Disney's Polynesian Resort. Indulge in the scrumptious cinnamon and banana-stuffed Tonga Toast or choose from a variety of more savory breakfast options like a variety of egg dishes and pineapple macadamia nut pancakes. At midday, satisfy your hunger with an Island chicken sandwich and housemade sweet potato chips, shrimp and scallops, or other tasty entrees. Dine in the evening on delicacies such as a selection of fresh fish, grilled ginger-crusted ribeye steak or coconut almond chicken. As you enjoy the relaxed atmosphere of this Polynesian restaurant, feast your eyes across the onstage open pastry kitchen that prepares divine desserts. Kona Cafe offers authentic Kona coffee as a perfect pairing to these pastries, or as a rich addition to any meal.
