A tiny restaurant in a strip mall with only around 6 tables. Got take out from there a month ago and the battered fish was soggy after the 25 minute drive home. Went today and ate there and the fish was perfect - not over cooked with a nice beer battered crust. We'll definitely be back.

We arrived in Naples on a Friday night and it was a zoo with people everywhere. Any restaurant that took reservations was fully booked and places that didn't take reservations had crowds waiting. We passed by Grouper and Chips ( which is in a non-descript strip center) and there were so many people waiting that we decided to go back... More

Have been here many times and it never disappoints. Not much seating but worth the wait. Have had grouper from many restaurants and this is one of the best for the price. This could be one of the best ranked on a hidden gem list!

If you're looking for fresh seafood, reasonable prices, and something casual you can just relax at - this spot is perfect. The place is small, but cozy. Staff is friendly and very easy going/ willing to make edits to the menu. It's crowded with locals and the Key Lime Pie at the end is Amazing. Serving sizes are generous and... More

Been going to Grouper & Chips since the year they opened & loved it all along....and still do. The food is unmatched in the local area, witness the crowds standing outside waiting for a table! What's confounding me is that recently the take-out fish portions have shrunk. Love their blackened grouper, but the portion size has shrunk so much it... More

Lunch was a one piece grouper basket for me and blackened mahi fish tacos for my wife. All was very fresh and delicious. We sat outside and got excellent table service. I would never have found this on my own or stopped when driving by. It is a tiny store in a non-descript strip mall on the Tamiami Trail. We... More

I stopped in to get take-out to bring to the RipTide Brewery around the corner. The food was delectable! Three of us shared two meals (the 1/2 shrimp and 1/2 grouper basket and a three-piece basket), and it was plenty of food. The fried grouper wasn't too greasy, the shrimp were cooked to perfection, and the fries and coleslaw were good... Hallelujah! A fun dive with great food! The deep-fried, fresh grouper is a must and the crab cakes are actually "crabby!" I love the homemade key lime pie and a thumbs up goes to the refreshing iced tea! All around, a terrific choice for locals and tourists who just want to eat and relax. Well done Gulf Coast Grouper &... More

This is a great little "mom and pop" hole in the wall and my husband's favorite haunt in Naples. Seems very popular with locals and tourists alike. The fish is SO fresh and you can tell it's never been frozen. Freshest/most delicious grouper sandwich ever (fried, grilled, blackened, doesn't matter-all amazing)! Seafood chowder was also amazing. The staff is very... More

Great grouper, slaw and tartar sauce. But please make the french fries from scratch or give gourmet chips instead of frozen french fries. Please note that it says on the menu always fresh, never frozen, this is true for the fish but not the fries. Probably will not go back.
