My overall experiences have great. The service is good and the food is even better. The flavor and seasonings of the food are fabulous and the reason I keep coming back. The only negative to this place is they're skimpy with the portions for the...price, especially on to go orders. I ordered the Tom Khar Ramen Noodle Soup and instead of all the meat and egg, I wanted veggies. They barely put any veggies in there for $15.95. My boyfriend ordered the Yellow Curry with Veggies and the rice portion was so small he didn't have enough rice to finish the meal. For the prices they could definitely give you more food, especially if you're a vegan/vegetarian; I made it a point to say "extra veggies" and they were still stingy about it.More

Thai is one of our favorite cuisines, so we come across a restaurant we haven't been to, we try it. East Thai failed to meet expectations on the food - we are not overly fussy about ambience, décor, etc., but the food has to be...good. We had an appetizer (green papaya salad), three entree dishes - two curries and grilled shrimp, and shared some donuts for desert. Unfortunately none of the dishes were memorable in any way.More

We’ve been a few times, and there’s no way we find nothing wrong. Always clean and cozy place with a great service. This is the best place if you are trying to enjoy Thai Food. I’ve been in some others restaurant, only to confirm East...Thai has the best taste. My favorites are Yellow Curry and Pad Thai, and Chicken Wings is a must as appetizer. I highly recommend this restaurant. Definitely coming back!!More

I found this restaurant by accident because I didn't even know it existed and let me tell you I am super happy that I did. I've been searching for an authentic Thai restaurant and this is definitely it. The food is amazing and the staff...is courteous. Even though I went in to pick up a soup. I did have a request to change several items. I ordered the Tom Khar Ramen. The soup has ground chicken, grilled shrimps, poached egg, Chinese broccoli, bean sprouts, scallions, mushrooms, lemongrass-coconut milk broth. The kind gentlemen on the phone gave a few suggestions to my requests and voilà. We decided on no poached egg and made with lemon-grass broth instead of lemongrass coconut milk. My order was ready fast so I went to pick up my soup and was greeted with a big smile and a hello from a woman. After arriving home and serving my soup I was very happy to see that the soup was made to perfection. I will definitely be back to try more items on the menu with friends and family. I highly recommend this restaurant.More

As a Thai-girl I loved this place and often recommend it to those looking for Thai food in the Sunset area. My boyfriend brought me here for an early dinner and I was very happy with everything I ordered there. For appetizers I ordered Beef...satay (which tasted like what you get in Bangkok) and green papaya salad which is a Thai favorite for me. The green papaya salad was delicious and a close second to my own mothers. Then for an entree we had a pho wrap and spicy basil noodles. The flavors for both dishes were spot on. The pho wrap was an interesting twist that really got in all my favorite flavors of pho and the slow cooked meat all in one yummy asian wrap. Would like to come back for lunch and try their other specials. :]More

Went in with no expectations and we had a wonderful meal here. It is small little joint so expect nice people who serve you food as soon as possible. Be patient as this is a small restaurant, and the wait will be worth it for...the good quality food that they churn out. We started with the fried spring rolls, summer rolls and roti with curry dipping sauce. Spring rolls were crisply fried with nice dipping sauce. The summer rolls were average with delicious dipping sauce. He roti were small discs of delicious pan fried dough and served with a Thai coconut curry dipping sauce: will suggest that it's basically really good for 2 people as an appetizer. We had a table of 7 and got to try a smattering of different noodle and rice dishes. We had their beef fried rice which was cooked well with jasmine rice Thai style. We had Pad Kee Mow medium which was deliciously stir fried with some nice chiles, unfortunately some of the other diners thought it was too spicy for them. The Pho was nice and with huge chunks of beef that was tenderly cooked(a bit different than he shaved eye round that is typically served in Vietnamese places. We had that sweet piquant deliciously made Pad Thai with chicken. We had a chicken and noodle soup that was clean tasting and clear broth. We had Pad See Eew, rice noodle stir fried with garlic, your choice of meat and Chinese broccoli which was made well. We had desserts of Thai donuts and tempura cheesecake . The tempura cheesecake was made well with the obligatory vanilla ice cream scoop. The Thai donuts were really good. We would have ordered another serving if weren't so full already.More

Ordered take out and dint check the food till I got home. If I had I would have returned it. Ordered Roti. Now that I think about it I don't know why I did that. Roti is a West Indies dish. Why would I think...Thai can make good Roti, Not so. Also ordered Thai Iced Tea, even that was mediocre. Basil Fried Rice, horrific. Mines was supposed to have shrimp, chicken. And beef. We'll never saw 1 whole shrimp. Only pieces. The meat dint look right. ( o god I hope I just dint eat some cat or dog ). And the chicken looked strange also. Very expensive for some very mediocre food. Dont recommend this place at all.More

I have only had one delivery from this place and it was good. What we ordered arrived and it was tasty! One thing I liked was that their menu went into a little Vietnamese and Indian territory. I'm looking forward to visiting in person to...check the place out. I checked their health inspection records and while in the past they " met inspection standards" recently they required "follow-up inspections." This is not a good thing but I hope they fix it because their food is good and they have great potential!More

This fabulous spinoff of the original Origin Asian Bistro we have loved for years, now on Key Biscayne, has opened another location under the next generation in South Miami. The same warm welcome & great Thai food we've come to expect from this lovely family...has returned to their former neighborhood & overjoyed customers. You will find the Tom Khar soup, Coconut Shrimps, Pad Thai, & terrific yellow, red, & green curries, stir fries, & fresh fish, as delicious as we remember & a lovely patio on which to enjoy them.More

Great pad Thai! We had the pork and it was real good. We also had the calamari which was average and the yellow curry was a great value. The yellow curry was a good serving and was good for two persons. I love Thai food....The dining space is small and casual they seem to do a lot of take out. The staff is friendly (mom & pops) and seem to be authentic Thai people which is a plus! It was nice to dine casually like this! The restaurant can be cleaner there were dirty tables that needed clearing even the cheques were yet to be cleared from the dirty tables but the food was cooked fresh and hot it took a while to reach though. But other than that it was a casual easy cool place to get Thai food.More
