In the past 6 months I must have had lunch at La Carreta maybe 10 times. I like going here because I know that the food will be good quality, the service cordial and the prices affordable.

If you want to have a taste of good local Cuban food in Miami, this is the place. Very fast service, friendly staff. You gotta try their black beans soup (potaje) and their fried plantain (maduros).

We visited here on a tour of Miami. We were ushered into the 'back' room, which was in desperate need of redecoration! However, we enjoyed our Cuban sampler of plantain, sandwich, pastry, dessert and coffee. All very tasty and would be nice to go back and try more Cuban food

We came for lunch as we were getting ready to return back home. 2 of us had a midnight sandwich and it was better than I remembered. Someone had a ceasar salad with chicken and it was some of the most tender chicken any of us had ever had. We will definitely be back again.

Nov 26 2016 Castro was dead and crowds were surrounding nearby areas, we arrived at 10AM and decided to indulge our selves with a typical Cuban breakfast. Of course you can imagine how busy they were. However the restaurant is very big. The decoration needs a refresh nevertheless. I went for the croquettes sandwich and my partner went for an... More

We ended up at La Carreta because the wait time for a table at the famous Versailles restaurant down the street was ridiculous. We took a chance on this restaurant not knowing anything about it and got seated immediately. It turns out that we think that the food at this restaurant is better than the food we've had a Versailles.... More

On a recent trip to Miami, we dined here on the recommendation of some locals. This place is the real deal. The menus come in Spanish and English and we were the only ones speaking English. We started out with the Yuca Fritas and Croquetas and they were both delicious. We then had the Cubans Sandwich and La Carreta Sandwich... More

My husband got the sampler and it was delicious. It got the whole fried fish with rice and plantains. Everything was great and you get so much. I'd return!

This is one of the most traditional restaurants serving Cuban food in Miami. If you can pass the first impression of the restaurant, you will have an amazing experience. The food is great. The staff is very nice.
