You pull up to a garage and start wondering where is the restaurant then you realize you must go inside the gas station and there you be something good because the place is packed. I recommend making reservations. We ended up sitting at the bar and it worked out fine. We order white sangria which was very good and not... More

My mother went on and on about taking me to the "gas station" so I finally got to go and it was one of the best meals I've had in Miami. We ordered several items; bacon-wrapped dates, Gambas Al Ajillo (shrimp in spicy oil), patatas a la brava (fried potatoes), skirt steak, lobster bisque, chorizo in wine. All dishes were... More

When you order a lobster empanada, at a supposedly a "Spanish" tapas place, you know you are in for some treat. I have been to several cities in Spain and I have never seen an empanada at a tapas menu. This version at El Carajo is purely some tasteless seafood (lobster?) and LOTS of red and green peppers which will... More

First: the service (javier) was not just perfect but amazing!! Second: food was exquisite. You should try the crab crepe and sardines! Drinks: sangria was 10 pts. Overall just perfect: plus the ingredient of being inside a gas station was a plus!

Great place for wine choice (more than quality of its selection, the ridiculous prize you pay for wine bottles sat within a restaurant contest). Indeed, while you can select a wine by yourself almost at wholesale price, you can enjoy a varied selection of tapas. Worth trying the short ribs a la canaria, bacon wrapped dates (finally a place actually... More

We had been told about this place, then we saw it in a write-up of 7 hidden gems of Miami. It did not disappoint. The croquets, both ham, and chorizo were great! We also had the garlic shrimp, chicken rice, ribs, and assortment of cheeses and meats. All were great. Perfect for sharing with the entire family. We sampled many... More

I love tapas and restaurants that are "off the beaten path." This was heaven for that. Yes, you go through a Mobil station, yes, some people might think the route to get there is sketchy if you take the streets or avenues. However, the small restaurant is cute! The food was incredible! Regular wine selection is just okay, quite lacking... More

Excellent sangria! The tapas are amazing and the paella is really good! The restaurant is very cozy and the service is excellent!! When you get there do not get disappointed by the look of the place from the outside, once you get inside it is completely different. The place is very nice!!!!

As a native New Yorker I'm a little jaded. Speakeasy and speciality dining experiences are everywhere so I wanted to try this place because its something new, and by NY standards that's major. Pulling up to the FOOD MART my husband gave me a hard side eye[if you don't know what that is seriously stop reading now because this entire... More
