I am a Michigan Native that discovered that Cuban food is what I would have considered American food. I really enjoyed the corn beef hash with eggs and southern grits made perfect. My wife was less impressed with the 3-little pancakes she got, a very small serving. The breakfasts came with fresh squeezed orange juice and a smooth cafe con... More

My wife and I took our two boys (2&4) here for dinner. We ordered the beef filled tostones, some croquetas, the chicken special and the lechon asado. More than enough food for 4 adults. Croquetas were fantastic. Pork was crispy yet soft and tender on the inside. Rice and eggs were simple but good. Service was very friendly and accommodating.... More

My dad and I went to Miami just to see a Heat game. While having some time the next day before our flight out we were looking for a few things to do. I found out about this place through Chad Ochocinco's twitter account. An absolute treasure of a place. Makes you feel relaxed and comfortable with some of the... More

We live a block away from David's Cafe - lucky us. THE spot for a delicious, strong Iced Cuban coffee. We're addicted! The ladies working the window counter are super friendly - and by now they know our order by heart. We love them! Sit-down breakfast is great as well, with no shortage of buttery tostadas. I recommend the Desayuno... More

Loved the food, loved the staff! Had breakfast one day, lunch another day, and both were terrific! Wonderful Cuban coffee and tostada cubano (Cuban bread), and the Cubano sandwich at lunch was outstanding. Sammy made us feel welcome both visits, and we will be sure to seek out this restaurant on our next visit. Enjoy!

We were there late afternoon on a walking tour. Had the Cuban coffee which was excellent. The Cuban sandwiches were tasty and exactly as pictured. Just a great place to relax and soak up the Miami history. Crisp tiny chips sprinkled over a large sandwich. Thoroughly enjoyable. As we left the restaurant Amy Schumer was walking by. Apparently she was... More

Had breakfast with local friends (who recommended the place). Great cuban coffee, and very good choices for breakfast. Had Egg wraps (delicious!) and french toasts. And free parking, Definitely will go back.

Nearly a year after closing its Collins Avenue location, the iconic 40-year-old Cuban cafe alights on Alton Road, settling into a smaller SoBe space with blue-and-black tiled floors and its signature walk-up window where locals get their morning cafecito fix. The menu includes breakfast staples like fried eggs and bacon, plus classics like Cubano Sandwich and churrasco (grilled beef) that never grow old.
