The food was mediocre, tacos and enchiladas. Service good. Nothing exceptional, the meat in the tacos barely there, enchilada small.

Recently had dinner at Habanero's in Longwood on vacation. My husband and I had steak dishes, which we very much enjoyed. My sister-in-law had enchiladas which she found delicious as well. Service was very good, the restaurant was clean and nicely decorated. Prices were reasonable as well.
I have gone here a lot and like it, but some things on the menu are better than others. The service is typically very fast and the food is delivered very hot. This is NOT the place for a nice leisurely dinner since the service is so fast it seems like they just want you out fast. The food is... More
Our server tonight was Marcus. Very friendly and courteous. Food came out quickly and was hot and delicious. Wife had the Pollo Loco and I had one of the dinners. We have just moved to the area and will be back.
Gave this place a try, hoping that quality had improved from years past. It had not. Salsa was watery and queso for chips was rubbery and clearly heated up from a can. Entrees were bland and sort of pre-fab tasting, and weren't piping hot as they should be. Better, fresher, and more authentic Mexican food is readily (and less expensively)... More
Our family went there (11 total) and while their food was okay, we couldn't believe they want to charge $1.25 extra for sour cream. Most Mexican dishes come with sour cream (and sometimes Guacamole), but not at this restaurant! Hubby wanted fajitas but refused to pay extra for it. We have never been to a Mexican restaurant that sour cream... More
The food is a good value and good quality. The atmosphere feels authentic and I love the white queso its authentically good. The margaritas were good and our service was cordial and fast. Chips were fresh and crispy. All in all good value for good food.
It was our first time at Habanero's and we arrived around 2 PM after a day of kayaking Wekiva Springs, exhausted and hungry. Our chips and salsa arrived lightning fast and we asked our server if they had anything salsa spicier. OMG the green salsa he brought us completely fit the bill. We mixed it with the red and it... There is nothing exceptional about the menu choices, but the food is plentiful and the service is good. This is a great place to choose if you just don't want to cook and are not looking for anything fancy.
