Always an excellent breakfast, but a change this year... Could always walk out on the dock to see the tarpon after eating.... This year there's a charge to do so... It was nice to just go see the fish, can't believe there's a $2.00 charge... Wonder what's next....

Stopped by to feed the tarpon fish (read about in the United Airlines mag, really cool) and grabbed some lunch after. It's a typical marina-type of restaurant/bar, with typical food, fun and kitschy. Service was speedy and efficient. The conch chowder was quite good and the grilled fish sandwich was also good. The shopping is fun to walk around when... More

Amazing lunch - probably the best fish sandwich I have ever had and my boyfriend had the shrimp tacos. Great mixed drinks, terrific view, and a fun place to walk around and shop when you're finished :) Definitely a must go to!

There's a small eating area "inside", but most everyone wants to sit outside because of the scenery. The restaurant is part of Robbie's Marina (Mile Marker 77 of US-1), where you can buy a bucket of small fish to feed - by hand - to live tarpon that leap out of the water to take your fish! The restaurant looks... More

This place is known as both the Hungry Tarpon & Robbies, or maybe I'm confused. If this is where you can feed the Tarpons, that's ok too, I recommend just watching others handle the smelly fish chunks & take pictures. If you're not good a kneeling you won't get a personal interaction with the giant fishes. Take pictures & your... More

We were 2 for lunch on a weekday. Service was fast on the drinks but slow on the food. Hogfish sandwich was great; calamari basket was stone cold. Our server Barbara comped the calamari and tried to make things right. Great vibe.

Great place to stop and have a drink. Good views. Food left a little to be desired. Had he coconut shrimp and the flavor was good, but way over cooked. It was rubbery. Service was a 2 out of 5. Definitely have to feed the tarpon while you're here.

I stopped in for some local seafood, a quick drink, and to watch a little Super Bowl. The bartender was super friendly, the food was very nice, and the beer ice cold. Perfect!

The service was excellent. Sat outside and it was dark so reading the menu was difficult. Guess we could have borrowed the one candle from the table near us! Ordered a fish sandwich which was grilled and it was good. Thought the portion was thin. My partner had a shrimp poor boy with cheese. That was different and he thought... More

We went on a cold rainy night and sat outside in the bar area. This is at a marina. It was covered and they had gas heaters and a fun atmosphere. We had the best shrimp and fish tacos ever. They manage to crisp the shell without it being greasy and it was delicious. Our server was extremely nice and... More

Description
In the Florida Keys you'll find this old Keys-style marina and fish shack "somewhere on A1A." A true conch atmosphere with many tasty delights, here in this Florida Keys restaurant you'll find yourself indulged in the Caribbean-inspired cuisine, the compassionate people and old Keys tranquility that is the Hungry Tarpon restaurant in Islamorada. The building has been standing since 1947 and with a home like Robbie's of Islamorada, plus a fascinating history, it all makes the Hungry Tarpon a part of the tradition since 1976. Enjoy dining on our bayside deck with tiki torches lighting up the night. Relax with friends over our fabulous appetizers and watch the boats come and go. Stroll our open air shops then wander to our sandy beach, melt into one of our bayside lounge chairs and let the sea air wash away the rush of the day.
