I found this place quite enjoyable. It is small - in a converted house. There are at best 17-20 tables. The staff if great and the prices reasonable. My son loved the mac and lobster.

My wife and I went here for our anniversary, she was super excited but the food was rather disappointing. The waiter was very nice and knowledgeable but for the prices of their food, I didn't appreciate being served by someone with their hat on backwards?...More

This was a surprise find. We made reservations and were glad we did; the restaurant is not very big. The dishes we had were all very good. I'm not a big mac and cheese fan generally, but their lobster mac and cheese was delicious. Most...More

Small, but fabulous. I ate there twice during a week-long stay in Key West. It was right around the corner from my hotel, but I would have walked even further for food like this. The guys that run the place are super friendly and really...More

Around the corner from our hotel this restaurant is fantastic. The service was first class. Jay - our server - was great and when our bottle of wine took a teeny while to arrive he apologised and gave it to us for free! The food...More

This place is special. We first heard of the Flaming Buoy when the guys on the Yankee Freedom boat to Dry Tortugas highly recommended them for their amazing lobster mac & cheese. Located in a quiet residential part of Key West with a relaxed vibe...More

Found it on trip advisor. Was looking for something a little smaller and out of the way. Our food was great, I had the chicken and waffles, and the staff was fantastic. You could drive right past this spot and not know it was a...More

Thank you for thinking of us. Most people make reservations at most a couple of months out. We haven't a parking lot, but there is generally plenty of street parking. Hope this helps. Scot.

We don't, per se, but we can make chicken fingers or fries or spaghetti, stuff like that.

An "only in Key West" restaurant, The Flaming Buoy Filet Co. makes a statement on the hushed stage of a residential neighborhood. It is one part retro supper club, one part sassy corner bistro, and one part highly personal whim. Fred Isch, self-proclaimed Air Force Brat, grew up in every geographic segment of the country with a mother who loved cooking and collecting recipes. His partner, Scot Forste, grew up on the farm where his mother, bored of city life, spontaneously relocated to get back to the land, breed horses, and grow fresh, healthy food. Every recipe on the Flaming Buoy menu is an interpretation of something Fred or Scot ate at their respective family tables. Local additions, like seafood, tropical fruits, and Cuban flavors reinterpret the nostalgia, and the result grabbed the attention of the New York Times in 2011. Whether from a porch seat next to pots of herbs, or inside a white dining room accented in orange, dining the Flaming Buoy way is delicious and fun.
