Easily the best restaurant in Gainesville. Superb food, outstanding service and a relaxing atmosphere. This is our go-to spot for date nights, birthday and anniversary dinners. You can't go wrong with the surf and turf Adriatico, it's always top notch!
Did the big old family dinner one night over the holidays. Having the two dining rooms separated gives the restaurant a really intimate feel. Amelia's is somehow family friendly and romantic at the same time. It is a little pricey for Gainesville, but you are...More
There are no re-heats in this fine establishment. Chef Andy Fass is conscientious and stakes his reputation on fresh, clean cuisine. It is truly a dining experience; certainly not fast food, pre-made entrees. The tables are covered in crisp white linens with accompanying napkins and...More
We just took some neighbors who have lived in Gainesville for 40+ years to Amelia's and once again they were great. The waiters are very friendly and knowledgeable, the food and drinks were great and we all had so much it was doggie bag time....More

On March 24th, my wife and I hosted a rehearsal dinner for 50+ guests at Amelia's and had a wonderful dining experience. The planning was handled very smoothly by Mikayla at Amelia's Private Events and by Andy Fass, the owner/chef. The food was excellent and...More
First - we had a hard time finding the restaurant. The address is for the main street but the restaurant is set back behind other buildings that actually front the street. Be prepared to do a little hunting. Next, this is more authentic italian than...More
Upscale Italian dining in downtown Gainesville. Consistently very good and creative meals. And, the only place I know of where the chef will play a sax for you on your birthday.
