You'll never have a better tasting Grouper than the crunchy Grouper served here! I think that it's THE BEST in SWFL. Service staff is also top notch.

Tried out this restaurant with some friends for dinner. It appeared to be a popular place and was very crowded but our experience was unexceptional. The fish dishes were dry and tasteless. The atmosphere was very loud and noisy. The service was fine but with...More

We had the escargot appetizer which was remarkably well executed...are only desire would have been for more garlic (but we also go to the Gilroy Garlic Festival each year so the escargot were probably seasoned to local tastes). We each had different salads (that were...More

It is always great when family sits down to dinner. The conversation, the memories remembered and created. Pop had mentioned the Prawnbroker numerous times, but we were not able to go, but for this last time, it seemed appropriate. There were 14 in our party...More

We had been here once before and had some fabulous sea bass. I guess what we had was a special and not on menu. So, we were disappointed but ordered other fish dishes. They were okay but nothing like the grilled sea bass. Won't go...More

Enjoyed the starter of prawn bisque, mains were nice, but nothing special and pudding was awful, I chose 'Apple Crisp' which I thought was going to be a lovely apple pie, or crumble, it turned out to be undercooked slices of apple, drowning in an...More

Prices are very moderate. I would say $21-$29 for fish. Two sides are offered with the meal. Also, hot bread is served.

Walking through the front doors, guests are greeted by the in-house seafood market, where the Prawnbroker showcases their specially chosen fresh fillets of fish and beef, hand-cut on premise, that are sure to tempt the palates of all. To emphasize their commitment to buying local and bringing you the freshest seafood Ft. Myers has to offer, you'll find our hand picked selection straight from the local waters of the Gulf of Mexico. Here you'll get a peek at the sumptuous fare that you'll soon be enjoying from their comfortable yet elegant dining room. Feast your eyes on mouth-watering Snapper, Gulf Shrimp, Softshell Crabs, Mahi Mahi, and the best Grouper Florida has to offer. Small tubs of pale pink creamy shrimp bisque stand in line next to bases for both kinds of chowder - New England style being what the restaurant is most famous for, a nod to the original owners' home region. Diners consistently return to enjoy these favorites plus the greatest Florida Stone crabs (in season) and Maine Lobsters.
