It's noisy, messy and most importantly delicious! Cocktails off the menu were disappointing. Food was plentiful and well prepared.

We stopped here on our way to a cruise. It was definitely casual and noisy. Great place for families and groups. I was disappointed at the lack of cleanliness. There is no view here, construction on one side, boatyard on the other. The parking lot is a mess. We skipped the appetizers, Go the local Funky Buddha beer which was... More

One friend had garlic crabs and loved them. The other golden crabs and fish. I must have had salmon cause that's my favorite. The place is usually crowded and can get very very noisy. In order to break open shellfish, each person has wooden mallets and they get used to pound on the table also! All in all, it's a... More

I have eaten at the Rustic Inn Many times and generally the food has been average and the ambiance is noisy and fun-loving. If you have a lot of stored up aggression, banging on crabs with a wooden mallet is a great outlet. The crabs are what this place is about and the menu is otherwise quite generic. All in... More

Six of us went Saturday 2/18. We arrived early- 5:30 or so since we'd heard that the line to get in could be long. No problem at that time even though we are in tourist season right now. We ordered the crab wedge salad to share among two of us. Not a lot of crab but it was ok. Two... More

If you love seafood this is the place to go. The food was great. The calamari appetizer was one of the best. I really like a good fish fry and was not disappointed. Our friends decided on a conch theme and every dish they ordered they loved. The only problem was finding the place. We put the address in our... More

This waterside crab house packs hundreds of patrons and numerous cars onto a small property, and that popularity speaks volumes. The Rustic Inn specializes in garlic crabs, and most are served that way. If you insist on Maryland Old Bay style crabs, your options are limited and you will miss out on a delicious alternative. The sampler included the blue... More

If you want to seriously overpay to eat in an old has-been place, then this is it. 25 years ago this was an OK place. As locals we waited 5 years to return with some neighbors just to see if things were improving. The experience was ridiculous. The food is simply second rate, unless you are a drunk tourist or... This restaurant is a famous landmark but does it deserve it's reputation. I live in South Florida and I don't get it how people will line and wait for this place for hours. The food is good and for lunch time, the price is great for what you get, but for dinner those great prices go by the wayside. Here's... More

The atmosphere & service are top notch. The portions were adequate to large but the fish was over cooked and just mediocre. The combo crab dish looked amazing.

Description
The original Rustic Inn Fort Lauderdale crabhouse began as a roadhouse saloon. As time went by, our hole-in-the-wall Ft Lauderdale crabhouse grew up, keeping with the demand for steamed crabs, seafood, linguini with homemade sauces and other popular dishes.

Our World Famous Garlic Crabs are known the world over. We invite you and your family to see what the legend is all about. Enjoy waterfront dining on our dock or in our main dining room. Visit our cocktail lounge and enjoy one of our original frozen drinks.
