Great boat watching right on a canal you can feed the large fish like 6 feet long while enjoying good food and great service

Amazing view, outstanding fish tacos! Had to wait for table outside but worth it, grab a drink at bar walk around the dock, beautiful property. Will go back for nicer dining upstairs next time.

John was our waiter. He was great! Very knowledgeable about the menu. When you come, get the Ghirardelli brownie with brittle and syrup for dessert. My entre was Coconut shrimp with side salad. The shrimp was perfectly cooked. Sangria was very good too!

If you're looking for a great atmosphere for drinks with an awesome view then this is the place. If you want good food go somewhere else. Started off with peel and eat shrimp . Their menu said Fresh Florida caught shrimp " NOT " I would like to see the box they came in because they were the same served... More

Right in front of the canal, with a nice view to catamarans, speed boats, yachts etc. the experience for a nice dinner is not to be missed. Fair prices, with a fast service and some live music make the whole atmosphere ideal. Don't miss the "Gator" though☺ My Tip: The earlier you go the easier you find a parking space

This was on the water taxi route of intercoastal, so convenient, but not really great, overall. We tried it twice and ate at the fancier and the more casual version. Not impressed.

I'm not the biggest fan of their food - very average with lots of fried items on the menu. This is an amazing restaurant at night, they illuminate the water and you can see all the fish. This is a good place to have a couple drinks and enjoy the view. It is a stop on the water taxi.

Why so much sauce? Why?! The mussels were "dipped" into some sweet kind of sauce. Strange combinations of badly-enjoyed flavors. Friut of the sea with very watery sauce, we decided not to try dessert.... We paid $270.00 for three people without dessert and coffe. Most likely never going to eat here again... After 15 minutes we stopped in BK for three... More

They offer several options on serving size of the Stone Crab. Best value is is 4 or 5 piece stone crab vs. the 3 jumbo. During this stay in Ft. Lauderdale I ate there twice and both times had the stone crab. Absolutely fabulous and the best value in the city. They serve stone crab with a great mustard sauce... More

Stopped for dinner as part of the boat taxi. Food was better than expected for an on the water crab shack. Prices were higher than expected, but I guess winter in in Ft Lauderdale will not be cheap. Fun view of boats coming and going.

Description
Voted "Best Seafood Restaurant", "Best Waterfront Restaurant" and "Best Restaurant to take your parents" in South Florida by a Sun-Sentinel readers poll in 2013. Legendary Local Dining Landmark and Marina. Casual dining with fresh seafood. DockSide Cafe, offers live music on weekends, while watching the daily feeding of Giant Silver Tarpons at our docks. Incredibly creative dining upstairs in a historic setting of early Fort Lauderdale and the marina, a "hush-hush" naval research facility in WW II. Complimentary valet parking and dock for your boat. You simply will not find better views in South Florida, with hundreds of boats navigating the waterways.
