This historic ancient club is definitely worth a visit, and there is no charge to enter. Beware of the food! My grouper sandwich was outstanding, unfortunately my wife's shrimp Caesar salad contained shrimp that were not fresh and tasted strongly of iodine. The location will...More

I am not a whiner when applied to resturants. However, our server, Amanda was atrocious. She didn't know her company's menu, was slower than a sloth (reminded me of zootopia), she was rude and condescending. It took 45 min. For the check, even though the...More

Excellent dinner! Amanda our waitress was so helpful! She gave us the "Grouper Rueben" for dinner even though it was on lunch menu! And it was sooo good! Ty!

The Rod and Gun Club has been around since the late 1800's and has been visited by many famous, infamous and not so famous people over the years. From the front steps on, they might as well have have a 'Not Welcome' sign. Totally understand,...More

What a great meal each of us had. My sister-in-law had the seafood salad which was huge, beautifully presented, and delicious with shrimp, scallops, frog legs, grouper, avocado, tomatoes and lettuce! My brother and I had the grouper tacos, yellow rice, and homemade chips. The...More

It is hard to review this restaurant. It is definitely worth having lunch here as it is a historic fishing and hunting lodge that has been well preserved. But we had dinner here two nights as we stayed here (see my 5 star Places to...More

All I can say DO NOT waste your time going to this restaurant. They don't have half the food on the menu. The cocktails were awful. We ended up paying way too much for cocktails we couldn't drink and leaving. Worst experience ever.

Give them a call at (239) 695-2101 to check current prices. Google them to see that not many are happy with their rooms, service, or prices anymore. A lot of history there and a nice location on the Baron River, but there... More
