We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this historic hotel - the number of famous people that have stayed there is amazing. Very cool, great for fishermen or eco-tourists like ourselves. It's old and rare so don't expect the Ritz Carlton. We stayed in one of...More

We stopped here to have lunch. It took forever for our waitress to acknowledge us and after viewing her interactions with the only two other parties we decided just to have a dessert treat. There were two choices (strawberry shortcake and key lime pie). We...More

Four of us road down to the R&G club yesterday. The place itself was pretty much as expected - an old style Florida R&G club that is kept clean and has great historical interest. The food however was very expensive and blah... $4 soft drinks,...More

Was in EC once again a couple of weeks back looking for a lunch place and as many will know choice is very limited. Always fancied trying the R and G but somewhat put off by the dark interior. However as I said there is...More

We thought we had to go here because of the history in this place. The folks were rude and insisted we had to dine here in order to look around. The food was bad, the service even worse. The owners would do better to sell...More

I have stayed here when I was a kid. It is still the same. Kept up really nice. Have good restaurant on the site. Always nice and worth the visit.

Worth a stop for a slice of cold key lime pie and a slice of old Florida. I was here a decade ago and not a thing has changed. That's comforting. You can smell the history I the old polished cypress floors and walls. Even...More

This is a must see if your in the Everglades City area. Dates back to a different era yet is still interesting in its own right as well as being on a small waterway so one can watch boats coming and going. Really enjoy my...More

Beautiful place to see with lots of history. Food was delicious but service was slow. Prices were outrageous. Refills on tea not free. Cash only. Although food was great and it's beautiful will not return. Good for a one time visit.

I was born and raised in Florida but in the 14 years I have lived in the Naples area, never bothered taking the hour drive to Everglades City. We decided to go to the Rod and Gun club because of its connection to the history...More

Give them a call at (239) 695-2101 to check current prices. Google them to see that not many are happy with their rooms, service, or prices anymore. A lot of history there and a nice location on the Baron River, but there... More
