Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Went for brunch one ordering eggs benidict, eggs were hard way to much spinach and the toast was hard, dry and no butter/margarine on it at all. the other meal being chicken parma and chips, now for $14 you would expect at least a chicken...a decent size BUT NO the size i got was the size of a tennis ball and nearly the same shape as one as well. Looked and tasted like it was deep fried and the edges were so dry and tuff i had to leave half of it . When spoke to the young staff they seem to just laugh it off and say oh the is always done this way, them giggled to othe other worker there. They have loss my business there. I would advise people to ask the size of things before ordering as quantity and quality is poorMore

This cafe has yummy homemade food and friendly staff, but what impressed me the most was their inclusive, welcoming attitude to a diverse range of people. They host activities for older people and kids, and also go out of their way to welcome people with...physical and intellectual disabilities understanding that these social interactions and connections are important. And they have a social bent, raising over $1000 for farmers experiencing drought. Thanks JJ&K.More

Our cycle group came here for morning coffee. Service, coffee, cakes and prices were all good. Would come here again if in the area.

On first impression, the cafe seemed promising as it was relatively busy and the prices were surprisingly cheap. The lady who took our order was friendly and welcoming. It went downhill when the coffee arrived... messy presentation and tasted like soil dunked in water. As...you can see, my partner couldn’t stomach any more after the first sip. Then his order came... one egg was over cooked and the presentation was a bit basic. We both thought the quality was akin to something a 6-year-old would make for Mother’s Day breakfast if they were upsupervised. The slightly redeeming thing was my order of nachos. Tasted nice, although again the presentation left something to be desired and the ratio of ingredients was a bit off. The ambience itself was ruined by the barista who constantly pushed past customers, saying, “Excuse me” in a rushed and impolite tone. My partner and I both thought she acted like she was the most important thing in the world. Wouldn’t come back unfortunately... we ended up buying food from Woolworths afterwards to fill ourselves up.More

Stopped in for a quick coffee after shopping. Quite busy but always appears so as seemingly catering for the local elderly citz. Initial service on ordering was friendly as was the cook, food delivered to the tables with a smile. Sadly downhill from here, coffee...was ok, the barista however seemed to be chewing on a very bitter gum. No smiles or friendly interactions, even with other staff, until what I presume was a visit from family! Chewing gum is often taken as a sign of boredom and worse when chewed constantly with mouth open. Been there, done that, no return to this place.More

no one chews gum here. Our coffee is roasted fresh weekly in the Yarra Valley, it's fairtrade, organic & chemical free, sorry you didnt enjoy it as much as our many regulars, we even have customers come as far as Heallesville for our coffee

This cafe has been here for years and changed hands about 5 times in my memory. It is in the small Churinga Village shopping Centre on Mount Dandenong Road Road. A large retirement village is at the rear of this centre and the residents have...historically made up the bulk of the customers. I had the cheapest long black, poached eggs with bacon on multigrain I have ever been able to buy in a cafe, $10 the lot, I actually asked the guy was the price correct and he assured me it was. The food and beverage, the eggs were well cooked, using a poaching tray and the bacon was basic rindless short cut on supermarket multigrain. The coffee was ordinary, not horrible, but not of a quality that tastes good in a black coffee. It certainly isn’t 5 star, but it isn’t 1 or 2 star either. It is excellent value for money and I think they have targeted their main customers well with what is on offer at very good prices. If you are after a good basic meal, then you can’t do much better, if you are after chef prepared cuisine, you won’t find it here.More
