This was our second time here. We enjoyed it our first time 2 years ago but felt like it had gone downhill. Food was mediocre & overpriced. No live music at dinner time (1st time visiting there was wonderful 'jimmy buffet style' music) our waiter seemed distracted & unfriendly this time. View was awesome though. Perfect place to watch the... More

I ate there about five years ago and it was good. This time, I wish I had eaten somewhere else. There are lots of other better places to eat. Our waitress did not even speak clear English. We had to ask the manager to help us order. The food was okay. I got the boiled seafood. Not hard to mess... More

I have been to this restaurant several times. In the past it was okay. This past time we sat for 20 minutes and never got served. We got up and decided to leave. I made sure to tell the hostess at the front and they basically said have a nice day. This place is to expensive to get service like... More

Adjacent to Hammerheads, a bit pricey, but decent food, drinks and service. This was our third time at Poppys and we will return in a year or two.

We had family group that went to Poppy's for dinner on a Thursday night. The hostess stand is in front of Poppy's and Hammerhead's and you are told that you will be seated wherever a table opens up - we ended up with a long picnic type table that would seat around 12-14 people. There was a live band playing... More

This place was way over priced and everything was over cooked!! The peel and eat shrimp were like rubber. And the plate I got, was $25!!! It was not even close to $25 worth of shrimp! It was probably 1/2 lb. The calamari was flavorful but again, sat in the fryer way too long! A huge bill for disappointing food... More

Always visit here when we vacation in Destin. The steaks are wonderful, as is the seafood. Ambience is so nice and romantic. Servers are always helpful and the food is always amazing and fresh.

It's been a while since I was here, but I'm catching up on some of my reviews. I really enjoyed the atmosphere at Poppy's and the food was great. I stuck with the classic sea food bowl and although it was a bit messy it was a fun and delicious dinner. We were staying at San Destin and this was... More

We were staying in Sandestin, Florida for the week and tried several restaurants in the Baytowne Wharf area as it was walking distance from our resort. It was off season, February for this part of the country. The restaurant was not very crowded and this should have been our first tip of mediocrity. Overall I have to admit we were... More

Hi Kevin! My name is Jason Jaume and I'm the new director of operations at PRG. Poppy's Seafood Factory (upstairs) has been closed for the season since December and will reopen for Valentine's Day Dinner and then permanently March 1st. So I'm assuming you were dining in HammerHead's Bar and Grille. This a common error, as they are sister restaurants... More

My wife and I were in town on business. We have been to this restaurant last year and it was amazing. They had some of the best lobster I had ever tasted. This year the sodas were flat, the rice in the gumbo was not cooked / crunchy and there were bones and the fish tacos. My wife actually cut... More
