Husband and I had our one date night in Destin at this restaurant. Most staff were wearing masks and we ate outside in the tent they had set up, which we appreciated. It’s wasn’t the most beautiful view (parking lot) but right now, for us, safety comes before lovely ambiance of the indoor seating. (Indoor seating is available, we just don’t prefer it.)
Husband tried the “4 in 1” pizza that the chef creates...each one fourth of the pizza has a different chef’s choice of toppings. Delicious! And we got to try some things we would have never ordered ourselves and enjoyed them so much.
I had the lasagna, which was very good and came with a whole bowl of freshly grated parm. No lack of tender meat in it either!
Loved the bread and olive oil mixture that came with our meal. We brought enough home for two meals to share with our kids, so felt the $48 was a very moderate price to pay for all we got.

Don't make our mistake and try to eat here without a reservation! We were at the end of our trip and wanted something other than seafood. I ran across the reviews for Pazzo Italiano and we decided to try it because it was a very short distance from our resort, The Henderson. We arrived around 6 pm and discovered that we should have made a reservation. One of the owners gave us an option of a seat at the bar or the pizza bar, since we had not eaten at a pizza bar before we decided to try it. We thoroughly enjoyed sitting and listening to fluent Italian and watching the quick work of pizza making by their excellently trained chefs. Everything here is truly authentic!
All of our food was delicious! From the grilled bread and olive oil with seasonings when you sit down, to the wonderful bruschetta to the pizza was amazing. The prices were reasonable too. If we lived closer we would eat here at least once a week. The wait staff are very helpful and you never have to ask for anything. We were wrapping up and without asking our server came by with a box for our leftovers. If you are ever in the area, don't miss an opportunity to have at least one meal here!

We spend our winter months in the Destin area. Pazzo Italiano has been our favourite restaurant. In an area with dozens of restaurants this is an accomplishment. This year we have had amazingly tasty meals here, with super friendly servers like Tibor and Anastasia. We tried many other restaurants (see my other reviews) including Christianos, Mama Clemenza, Ocean Club, Emeril's, Marina Cafe but each time they cannot compare to Pazzo's for food quality, quantity, and service. Last night we returned, 5 of us, on a Saturday night at 600 pm. The place was busy, and our reservation was ready for us. Our group sampled ceasar salads, veal picatta, pappardelle deli chef, veal parmigiana and the parmesan encrusted grouper. All were amazing (see photos) served piping hot and promptly. In our experience the pizzas are also amazing and the happy hour has great value. Located beside the Barnes and Nobles there is tons of parking. There is outdoor seating as well out front. Reservation suggested as they were lined up out the door when we left at 730 pm. As I said before, we have tried elsewhere but we keep coming back to Pazzo, as nothing else can compete!

Found the menu online and came here to get the chicken piccata at lunchtime. It took some time to get service despite the fact that there were hardly any customers. The menu did not mention chicken piccata, so we asked our server if we could order it. She said yes. We were pretty hungry, so I asked about bread. We were told bread was only offered with dinner, but we could place an order for garlic knots. We declined. Our entrees were truly delicious, but the service was lacking. Our waters ran dry, and we had to ask for more. The total for our two meals - no bread, salads, and only water to drink - was $46. For lunch. Bottom line - very good food, but pricey and lacking customer service.

We saw this restaurant when we were sightseeing and it was full so we imagined that food would be outstanding. We made a reservation inside and at the time we arrived there was no available table. Restaurant was crowded. So we accepted to sit outside ( although not comfortable) with the expectation of the food. The reception is awful since the person dies not stay in reception to coordinate. There should a person in the reception telling waiters to take people to the tables while the person in the reception organizes the mess of people which keep arriving all the time. I realized people were annoyed too. I paid 24 dollars for a plate which in my opinion was far to be tasty. My daughter had a fettuccine Alfredo and I have to say we have gone to so many Italian restaurants and Alfredo sauce is unique and this was dar to be an Alfredo sauce. It was more a creamy milk sauce. The spaghetti marinara was also not good. It seemed a sauce bought in the supermarket. Waitress was super kind and no complain at all. Well pizza seemed to be good ( we had a cheese one) but if you are looking for a real Italian sauce on your pAsta, maybe it is not the place .

After the good reviews I was excited to try this place. The tree pizzas I ordered were very doughy and had no flavor. I expected a crisp crust coming from a wool pizza oven .i was very disappointed. It was crowded and the food looks amazing, but the pizza is definitely not up to par

Thank you for your feedback! Our pizza is Neapolitan style which is a bit more doughy. We can make it thinner and crispier upon request, but do not expect it to be like the ones baked in electric ovens.

We celebrated my man's birthday there on a Tuesday evening. The place was moderately full which was a good sign; the teachers where I work said the food was delicious; but really the service made this restaurant a stand out. Our server Elizabeth was extraordinary, Our dinners were excellent ... we will definitely go back! And bring friends.

We found the restaurant on OpenTable. It is a five minute walk from our hotel, although we drove! We sat at the pizza bar in the back, watched the chefs crank out incredible pizza and enjoyed excellent service from Angel. The food was fantastic, we met delightful people at the bar, and never felt rushed, which was a pleasure. Lots of locals and families. Highly recommend.

The first several times dining at Pazzo Italiano were excellent. The last couple have been disappointing.
On our most recent trip, we were there about 2 PM. Bread with the meal was not available until dinner. There was one server waiting on a few tables. He was working hard but there were too many people dining there for him to provide very good service.
Eventually, another server joined the staff, and he took over our table.
The spaghetti bolognese was disappointing. The pasta was very good. The sauce was very salty and seemed to override all other flavors.
On the visit several months before this latest one, we ordered a Margherita pizza. The dough was good and cooked perfectly. Unfortunately, tomato sauce has been poured on the pizza and it was very thin and running everywhere. To avoid having to change clothes as soon as arriving back home, we ate the pizza with a fork and knife.
We also split a salad and it was good. The lettuce was fresh and the balsamic dressing tasted good as well.
The decor in the restaurant is attractive. Unfortunately, in the empty booth behind us, staff members were unloading boxes of wine during the meal. It was loud and the equivalent of eating in a warehouse while the boxes were opened up, placed on the table and then moved elsewhere--clanging together the entire time.
So, in our experience, the restaurant was off to a good start but the service and the food have deteriorated since that time. The food is relatively expensive so it was a disappointing experience.

WE are so sorry to hear about your last dining experience! We are sorry about the saltiness of the bolognese, if you said something to the server or manager, they sure would have offered you something else instead. Regarding the margherita pizza, it's made with fresh mozzarella, so it will definitely be runny. Not a lot of people are a fan of the Neapolitan style, but majority Love it.
For the service and the behavior of the bartender by putting bottles of wine away, there is no really excuse, We truly apologize for it!

We were a party of six, with two little ones, and called ahead and were told they could seat us in 15 minutes. The restaurant was busy, but the service was still top notch. Cannot remember our server's name, but she was Russian. :) The focaccia bread is delicious with the dipping oil. I also enjoyed the lasagna, and other enjoyed their entrees as well.

We tried this restaurant this fall when we were visiting Destin and loved it. We went three times and each time the service and food were excellent. We tried different pastas, salad, and wood fired pizza and all were delicious. We were met at the door each time by the server we had the first evening and he was so friendly and attentive. The prices were reasonable and we wish we highly recommend it!

It was a pleasant surprise to find this neighborhood, local restaurant so close to where I was staying with a friend who lives in Kelly Plantation. We did have a reservation for 5:15 or 5:30 so we were seated right away. But we were also very impressed with the speed of service (they appeared to be very well staffed). The food was very good. The menu isn't extensive and seems to be mostly pasta dishes. The one disappointment was that there are no small side salads that can be ordered with a pasta dish. I didn't want to order a $10 salad to go with a plate of cannelloni. The cannelloni was very good. There were a lot of families with young children when we were there on a Thursday evening.

We ordered this for pick up based on its high ratings and we were NOT disappointed. When we ordered, they informed us the food would be ready in 25-30 minutes and it was. We had no issues picking it up and bringing it back home to our rental house.
The food was delicious! We ordered fettuccini alfredo, lasagna, eggplant parm, and focaccia bread. We also got a house and a caesar salad. All were delicious. The eggplant and the bread were the favorites.
I will definitely eat here again if we visit Destin again.

This place is excellent! The modern vibe inside the restaurant is very inviting and the bar area is also very swanky. We started our meal with the Filled pizza rolls and they were to die for. They were freshly made and then placed on top of this amazing (and indulgent) butter/garlic sauce. For our entree we ordered the Pappardelle Dello Chefo. It was this fresh homemade pasta with a robust mushroom flavor and very light but tasty sauce. The cocktails from the bar were homemade and excellent as well. We traveled to Italy last year and this was the closest thing we’ve had to authentic Italian food since returning back to the US. We will definitely be back the next time we visit Destin.

They were very busy on a Monday night; recommend making reservations or ordering carry-out. Our wait would have been about an hour for a table. We were lucky to get seated at the bar.
The bartender took great care of us. Had our drinks up by the time we finished ordering. Loved the wood oven-fired pizza and calzone. The pasta dishes we saw being delivered to other customers' tables looked mouth-watering.
We’ll definitely be back when we visit Destin again!
