Informal dining by the Gulf. Restaurant was crowded so service was slow, but not terrible. Fish is super fresh and simply prepared. A nice place for lunch or a laid back dinner.

Nice fresh grouper but had to wait long time for drinks and the food even though it was way after lunch rush.

my husband and I are vegetarians and unfort. just about every restaurant we looked up while visiting Cortez was almost all seafood (go figure), which my husband does not eat. We took a chance at Cortez Kitchen, he got a grilled cheese sandwich, I got the fish and chips. You almost can't go wrong with these unassuming dishes, they were... More

This is another of my stops when I am in the area. As always I order the fried oysters. While they were delicious the oil could have been changed as it slightly took away from the taste of the oysters. BUT i still enjoyed them. the service was a bit slower then I remember, but then again why be in... More

We stopped here today after going one of our favorite beaches Holmes Beach. Keep in mind you are paying for the location and environment most of all. Menu is small with no kids menu which was not helpful. We ordered an extra side and gave our son some of our seafood platter. Food was great mainly BC its local fresh... More

I have been here several times. The food is amazing. I love seeing the white pelicans on the docks in January. Great service.

Either under the open chanty or out on deck, great place for a ice cold beer and great simple seafood. Red Royal Shrimp was the best I ever ate!!!! Live music and friends make for a great time!!!!

Tiki-style bar with cheap beer and eats for happy hour (4-7 pm). Music on Friday, Sat. Starting at 6 pm. On mainland close to Anna Maria Island ( Cortez Rd.) access. Watch for signs. Right next to the Swordfish Grill (a little less bar-like)

This restaurant had the best food. They offered a variety of seafood, and offered the ability to sit out on the deck with a view of the ocean. Highly recommend. Their food was fantastic as well - especially their shrimp tacos!

My friends and I visited while we were back in town. Had the seafood platter. I asked for grilled and was served fried. It was ok but greasy. My friend had coconut shrimp and another had grilled grouper sandwhich. Although the servings were ample we all agreed the food was better 2 years ago. I would go back for the... More
