Being a southerner I have had the pleasure of many a good southern dish. My grandmother was one of the best southern cooks around when she was alive. But this place may rival the best home cooked meal! Mercy! From the fried pork chop to the mustard greens to the peach cobbler, it was all delicious. I was a first... More

I went to Colonial for lunch with a friend and found one of the best places in town. They had fried chicken, baked chicken, fried pork chops, corn bread, and several vegetables. I chose the fried pork chops, and it was worth every penny.

Best fried chicken and sides I've ever had in the south! Oh my goodness! Excellent is too soft a word to describe this home cooked food! Clean well kept buffet and friendly staff. I'll be back now that I know about it!

We were camping at Falling Waters State Park near by and the Colonial Restaurant was listed on Google so since we love country cooking restaurants we decided to give it a try. It did not disappoint. It is a buffet style service with a very nice selection on meats and vegetables. Nothing fancy here, just good food and service. We... More

Colonial is now open for dinner and was recommended by a local. We were staying at a motel near I-10 and so glad we drove into downtown Chipley for dinner. Lots of good home cooked food. Good selection. Staff were friendly. And place was clean.

We went for lunch, a half hour before they closed. The buffet was full. LOTS of vegetables, and chicken, baked and fried, chicken fried steak and BBQ. Of course the choices change day to day. It really was good...very well seasoned...but I wouldn't exactly call it "healthy fare". I would go again though.

We have actually been here several times and are never disappointed. The servers are always very attentive and the food tastes good every single time. The food is Southern style so there are many different vegetables to choose from. Their fried chicken and their pork chops are almost as good as mine;) We feel good taking our kids here since... Buffet has lots of fried foods and vegetables. Breads and deserts are what you would expect. Sweet tea, of course, is very good. Great for lunch after church or for an evening meal.

I went with my mom.. The food was down home cooking.. It was pretty darn good but later that night I was sick to my stomach..Not sure if it was the food.. Afraid to risk going again..
