Before I tell you about my meal, I absolutely MUST tell you about the cutest, most attentive, most adorable and friendly little girl who was also playing at being a waitress. She came over to my table even before my "real" waitress could get there, she introduced herself, said she is my waitress and asked me what I wanted to... More

Just go. You will absolutely not regret it. Everything tastes homemade, the bread for the toast and sandwiches is homemade, you will not regret this place

Saturday afternoon so it was crowded. Beautiful do to set outside in a converted soda cooler bench seat. The shops are nice, we didn't buy anything there. The food is worth the wait. The price is old school also.

We went for breakfast in the middle of the week and were surprised how busy it was. Mix of locals, snowbirds & out-of-towners; seating is a little tight but worth it! Great atmosphere and friendly, very attentive service. Our coffee was never empty or even close to it. Very efficient service; the wait staff had handheld tablets to enter the... More

I stopped in for eggs and grits and was not disappointed. I was surprised by the line of people waiting to get in at 08:30 am on Wednesday. The pancakes and waffles looked great. All of the wait staff are friendly and I fell in love with the place. In many ways it is a throwback to tourism in Florida... More

Long wait but definitely worth it!!! Food was amazing. I got the chicken and waffles which were made from completely fresh ingredients. My boyfriend got the corned beef hash meal which was also all freshly made. Even the toast was fresh. While we waited for a table we went to the tap house next door and the bartender let us... More

What's all this fuss about in Brooksville? Well the southern fare is REALLY good. I had the catfish basket which was fantastic. The cornmeal crusted fish were fried to a crispy goodness. The fries were perfect. The collards were full of meat. The side order of creamy grits with tomato gravy earned my respect for their Southern authenticity. The iced... More

This place is legit! One of the best places I've eaten in a while and I love trying new places! The wait is long and I was a tad peeved that they do not accept credit cards but have an ATM.. Other than that the food is on point and and the service is pretty great too!

We had heard several good things about this restaurant, and if you like everything fried and overcooked, you will love it. The flavors were a bit bland, basically just salt and pepper. They had some interesting omelet combinations, but none that we wanted to try. I guess we had just expected more zing and pizzazz.

Dear Carolyn, Good morning ma'am, after reading your review I am sorry we didn't make your taste buds go Yum! We usually are on the other end of the spectrum, we season our food to much. Description
The Florida Cracker Kitchen is Family owned resturant by 2 brothers that were born and raised in the business. The Kitchen is a laid back atmosphere with southern hospitality and real food like your mom used to make. We bake our own Bread and Biscuits daily and everything is made with heart and soul. As the name says the Florida Cracker Kitchen brings back the old florida and the tastes that accompany it. We take shrimp and grits to another level with our homemade Tomato Gravy and saute fresh shrimp in and pour it over grit cakes and it will make your tongue slap your brains out! Hopefully we will see you soon!
