What a wonderful evening!!! We were seated immediately onto the outside porch. Logan was our waiter and he was kind, knowledgeable and thoughtful. I had the seafood strudel and it was one of my favorite meals of our trip!!! My husband had a wonderful hamburger!

So... my wife and I amble in on a Sunday afternoon, the place was hopping, but outdoor tables available. We are a mixed-race couple, well educated, polite, were suitably dressed, though I did have a plain blue linen bandana wrapped around my head to protect...my bald scalp from the sun. The gentleman who greeted us inquired brusquely "what do you want?" I'm still not sure what to make of that interaction. After stating we'd like lunch, we were seated promptly The wait staff were a little overwhelmed, as they are in most restaurants these days. The food arrived reasonably promptly. We enjoyed the meal, the food was good. Fish tacos are worth trying, get the black beans - they are divine. The outdoor environment was delightful, though we did need to secure condiments from other tables, after securing permission from the bus boys. I was left with the impression that the restaurant, while appearing modest, serves a fairly homogenous population, those with considerable means. I tipped generously and we departed wondering out loud if we had just experienced Pleasantville.More

We live a couple hours drive from South Beach Grille but whenever we are on Boca Grande this is our go to restaurant, we have never been disappointed with the food or the service. Directly on the beach, so one can eat on the outside...patio or under air inside, the place isn't "fancy" but who cares with the view and great food; that's all one needs. Highly recommend anytime one is in the island.More

Service was amazing, as was the food, presented very nice on palm tree plates, you can eat outside by the beach or inside in the A/C, we chose the inside but still had a nice view. We rented a golf cart in Boca Grande and...it was a nice drive to the restaurant after shopping. Go for the food but enjoy the view and white sand beach.More

This is our go to place when we get out of town company. Besides the location, directly on the beach, the food is delish. We have lived in Florida for 9 years and there is no better Cuban sandwich! I’ve tried them all over, and...nobody does it better. Not to mention their wonderful fries! Great waitstaff!More

Enjoyed a great lunch here, over looking the ocean. We were seated right away, the restaurant was beautiful and had some of the nicest bathrooms I've seen in the food industry. Our lunches were delicious (Boca Spring Salad and Grouper Sandwich). The only thing that...was a little off was the Bloody Mary, it tasted like it had coconut vodka instead of regular, could have been a mistake. Overall a great lunch, not sure why this place isn't rated better. AND looks small and not as nice from the road, you must get inside!!More

While in Boca Grande we stopped in for a pre-dinner appetizer of Conch Fritters (very good) and enjoyed the view. This restaurant is located directly on the beach and offers inside as well as outside dining, including a covered patio. Our waitress was friendly and...attentive to us. Parking lot is small but does have an attendant to assure only restaurant goers on utilizing the lot. Take out is available. Would would like to go back for lunch or dinner.More

As a property owner, here in Boca Grande who is here with a large family more often than not, we love South Beach food, drink and servers. We are fed up with BART and his abrasive, demeaning, and rude attitude. Tonight, we decided to celebrate...3 birthdays. Bart was sitting at the Host stand when we told him we had 5 adults and 2 children for dinner. He explained our options and said we could walk around to see our options. He asked if our whole party was here and we said 5 were and 2 were parking the car. He said we'd have to wait for our whole party. I nodded in agreement and returned to say we'd like the table outside. He said they would get it set up and could be seated once we were all there. Mom and Dad are older and walk with assistance. We saw them walking in the door and went towards the table. My SIL with the twins left their shoes by the table and headed for the sand. My brother went to the table first and Bart, in a very loud and abrasive tone told him he can't sit down til everyone is here. So not wanting to start anything, pushed the chair back to the table and stood behind it. I walked to the table and pulled a chair our for my mom who was just walking outside. Bart was there and snapped at me in a very rude manner "I said you can't have the table to your whole party is here!" Very rude manner. I snapped back because of his comment and said "They're right there!" And pointed to them. He stormed off. Not 5 minutes later he came back to our table looking to start something and barked, "Is everyone here?!" I said yes. He didn't believe me and followed up with "Well where are they?!" Pointing at the three empty seats. By this time one nephew was in the bathroom with my SIL and my other nephew was taking a picture with his Gammy. Trying to explain two were in the bathroom, he rudely interrupted me and said very sternly, " I said the whole party needed to be here!!" I then had had enough and told him he was being very rude and while trying to tell him that although there are other places to eat on the island, we enjoy South Beach very much. My parents tried to just end it because he has a temper and has no issue throwing people out of his place. We have all seen him do that when off Islanders call him out for being rude and abrasive. He then began to raise his voice and said if I found him to be inconsiderate, we could just leave and go somewhere else. Not wanting to be thrown out, I let it go. Just FYI, after he left the outdoor seating area, the table next to us, said Good for you for telling him he's rude. Two tables finished eating and came by and said the same thing. Bart is a bully and should be ashamed of himself. We have been a part of this island community for over 40 years. My Grandparents were good friends with the previous owners and if it weren't for the rest of the staff and the food, we'd probably not go there again. Bart, no one stands up to you because they are afraid of being thrown out! The food and service is too good to leave. Shame on you and shame on your co-owners, if there are any, for allowing this attitude to exist at South Beach!!More
