I lived most of my life in England or Europe until my early forties. Every place I've tried "British " fish and chips I've been totally underwhelmed. This is the closest I've ever had. Worth a visit. If you are headed to Rehoboth beach you'll drive right past it in the right. Stop and get a bite to eat.

We had a child's birthday party to go to in Lewes and my husband and I decided to go out to eat afterwards instead of eating at the party. I saw a sign for fish and chips and figured we haven't ate that in a while so why not. When we first walked in we were greeted at the counter.... More

Atmosphere: Casual, clean, order at counter. Food came quickly. All in our party had the fish and chips. Three large pieces of fish (crispy, lightly battered but crunchy, and fish was very moist and tender, and fries. Food delivered hot to our table. Can order beer. Restrooms were clean. Gal at register was very friendly. Would recommend very much!

Right off of Rt. 1 heading south before you hit all of the outlets, lies a little 'pub' called go Brit! I'm not a huge fish & chips guy, but I did like what Go Brit! had to offer. For $11 you can get a huge piece of beer battered fish on top of a bed of thick cut fries.... More

The fish and chips are better here than I had in England last month. They were crisp and not greasy! Try the bangers, mash and mushy peas. It was delicious and tasty. Service was quick and efficient, just like London you order at the counter and they bring it to your table. This is one of the best restaurants in... More

I have been to Go Brit numerous times and always forget to give it a Trip Advisor review. The title of my review sums it up! EVERY time we have a chance to dine here is a decision that is elementary! Everything they make is a true religious dining experience! The beer battered shrimp & chips with a cold Coke... More

Definitely near the top of the list for the best fish and chips I've had (sorry, bowpicker in Astoria, Oregon takes the prize), but the fries weren't very good.

I did not care for this food at all. And the seating is not conducive to dining. Guess I do not care for British food.

Received a recommendation from a friend to try this restaurant while there on vacation, the fish & chips and fish & salad were very good, fish was lightly batter dipped and flaky and moist inside. We would have gone a third time but we ran out of time. Will go back to try other items on the menu. You order... More
