Visited on a Saturday which was very busy. The staff were helpful and attentive. We both had steaks which were cooked to perfection and accompanied by a tasty side order. The icecream desert completed a very full menu and we were both satisfied.

Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere and brilliant food! It was a busy Sunday but the wait was reasonable and we didn't feel rushed. The pork belly was excellent, one of the best meals I've had. Can't wait to come back.

Went to this restaurant with mum partner for my birthday. I'm a vegetarian and so it can be really irritating to go out and not have options. This was not the case with the oak on the green, they had a whole separate vegetarian menu...More

It's gone downhill since it was sold. They've tried to keep the menu roughly the same, but the quality of food, taste and waiting time was disappointing. It's lost its spark

The atmosphere and ambience of proper olde English village country pub. An absolute delight. Great food quality and presentation. Fair service. I recommend the halloumi burger and chips...delicious. Nice surprise, whilst on a business trip nearby.

I don't think that 40 would be easily accommodated. The layout of the place might well mean that the group would be split up and that wouldn't make for a great group event.
