I was raised on Wooster St, New Haven and Modern Pizza (and Bimonti's in my youth). The crust on Julios pizza is pretty good. The sauce was decent. Cheese is good. It's not New Haven but it's good for not New Haven. The price is pretty steep though. $50 for two (not very big) pizza's is rough on us. We... More

We had started the evening in another town at another restaurant for pizza. After being ignored for twenty minutes we came to Julio's. We were warmly greeted at the door, seated quickly, and our waitress Nicole was table side in minutes. It was delightful after the earlier cold shoulder. We enjoyed a side salad which was large enough for the... More

After a long day traveling which included a terribly disappointing lunch elsewhere we did not feel like cooking so late into the evening getting back home. I googled for restaurants near by and knew which ones I did not want to go to. I remembered my friend saying how much she and her husband liked it so it was worth... More

Went to Julio's last nite and ordered the rigatoni with sausage, rabe, and white beans in a white wine sauce. It was tasteless and devoid of flavor the pasta was too thick and gummy. Will never eat there again. They do not know how to cook Italian food.

We have gone to Julio's quite a few times over the last few years and always ordered pizza and salad...very good pizza and salad! The last time we went, just a few weeks ago, we branched out and tried meals off the regular menu...they turned out to be very good meals off the regular menu! The restaurant is good when... More

First time I have been to Julio's Wood and Fired Pizza in Southbury which is well spoken of in the community. My experience was good to very good in a number of respects. The food was good, well prepared, nice portion size; the service was very good, attentive and responsive throughout; and the atmosphere was also very good. We chose... More

One of our favorites in Southbury. The food is great and the staff is excellent. Marie the owner takes pride in the restaurant and it shows. We would always end our workweek at Julio's.

Host staff and service were excellent. I just felt that the food tasted a little bland. We just had simple pasta dishes, but nothing really popped and made me say

Stopped in the other day for lunch. Had the sautéed shrimp. Served beautifully with white beans, spinach and tomatoes. Delicious! Friendly attentive service. Well done!!
