Went with my sister and was hoping for a good Mexican meal. We were sat after waiting 9 mins for a hostess to show up at her podium. The inside of the place was very cute. The margaritas were okay, not served in a margarita glass, just a plain water glass. The salsa and chips they bring for free to... More

We went here for dinner and I wish I hadn't The rice was over-seasoned; the pinto beans were gross.. I would have expected refried beans And my taco meat was disgusting . It tasted like the smell of canned cat food. My husband and I hardly touched our food and our waitress asked if we wanted it to go and... More

The food is average at best and when is arrives at your table cold, it's even worse. The menu selections are what you would find at your average chain food Mexican restaurant. Nothing creative. The wait staff, however, was very friendly!

We tried the Cookoos Nest again. its been a few years. it will probably be a few more till we return. The food was good, the waitress seemed way over worked, but it was her own fault, the drinks we ordered were very heavy on the liquor. We had there Sangarita, a house specialty. Very strong red wine is used... More

We had diner there while staying in Old saybrook for a week. It was referred by Econolodge hotel staff which is located right next door. Testy mexican food but lot of people during dinner time. I prefer you call and place pick up order rather dining in.

We spent the last week on the shoreline and dined at many local restaurants. The Cuckoo's Nest is by far one of our favorites. When we first walked in the door, we knew we found a special place. The building is an old barn and is filled with unique antiques and artifacts. We sat outside on a colorful patio that... More

I have visited this this restaurant every couple of years for the past 10 and am always disappointed. The food is bland and the interior is dingy and looks dirty. I thought the recent change in ownership would have improved things, it didn't.

We had dinner here one evening with our two children. The food was good, the service was a little rushed - our bill was presented at our table before we'd finished our main courses! We didn't experience the proper atmosphere as we were seated in a room, possibly a later extension, to the left of the main restaurant. The food... More
