I was in Groton for work and found some good reviews of this place in Trip Advisor so I decided to check it out. The place is by the water so you have a great view, unfortunately it was cold so i will have to come back on summer to be able to seat outside. The food is to die... More

I stopped by Ford's for lunch and was not disappointed. The lobster was to die for and so fresh, I also appreciated how they present cut the tail and claws to make it easier to get the meat out. I visited in March so it was the small inside restaurant that is open, but I hope to return when it... More

Picture yourself outside on a beautiful Summer's eve, eating some of the freshest seafood you've ever experienced, with good friends and you're doing this as you watch sail boats go by. Life doesn't get much better than that. This is what you get at Ford's Lobster. It's a must do on your short list of places to go in Southeastern... More

Quaint and Casual waterside dining, bring a sweatshirt. The most amazing lobster bisque I've ever had! Bring your own wine, recommend stopping at Maugle Sierra Vineyards for the wine. We went twice it was so good!

We ordered the sauteed calamari. It was so fabulous it is difficult to describe. It was hard to stop saying "Wow!" and "Ah!" long enough to swallow. Tender and perfectly sauteed with a stem of fresh rosemary, capers and lemon juice over a polenta cake. My pal had a Reuben despite my saying, "It's a fish place, order fish!" I... More

Ford's menu is eclectic--not the typical seafood restaurant. We were all very happy with our choices. The staff was knowledgeable and welcoming and our server was outstanding. This is a seasonal spot with outdoor seating on the water.

Really cute place, attentive staff, great lobster bisque, lobster rolls and RI clam chowder. Abbots and Costellos are closed so its time to give Fords a try.

We went to Ford's on several recommendations - it did NOT disappoint!!! So glad we were able to get seated before the small place filled up. We'll definitely go again!

Just a great little place where every dish that came out of the kitchen looked better than the last! Regulars brought us here, and we fell in love with the fishing shack decor, instantly. The food was fantastic...clam chowder, grilled calamari, lobster reuben, lobster bomb...you name it! You may have to wait...correction...you will have to wait but it's too cool... More
