As diners come and go in New Milford the Windmill Diner has remained a mainstay for the last 40 years under the same ownership. Still the best place to sit and relax in the am for a great cup of coffee and some super fresh eggs and home fries. Great menu selection for breakfast, lunch or dinner. Food is always... More

It's a diner, what can I say. Mediocre food at a mediocre price. It's on Danbury Rd. which is also known at Mill Plain Rd. there are probably more restaruant on this road than any other in Fairfield County. Pick another place if you looking for decent food.

Typical small-town diner but without the charm. Food was not cooked to our liking. Service was so-so. Would not recommend.

Stopped on way to flea market. Clean as a whistle. Easy parking and not jammed. Waitress was attentive and quick. We both had omelets. They were good. Home fries could have been a bit crisper. Coffee was fresh. Would recommend.

Just pulled over and saw the diner! Wasn't totally sure what to expect but it was really good! Had the baked macaroni and cheese with a salad, some of the best Mac & Cheese I've had in a while! The cleanliness of the restaurant was amazing! Everything was super shiny and very well kept- you could tell they really cared... More

All the food is good here but we like breakfast the best. The hot sausage special is worth the trip.

Always very good food at a reasonable price. A huge variety of foods with daily specials. Breakfast all day long.

My wife was hungry after a morning of plant shopping and traveling. The Windmill was the first place we found north of Danbury. The only thing good about the place was it was clean. Service was slow. The waitress did not care much, but worst of all, they charged per glass for ice tea and soda. $2.25 for an 8... More
