It was the first American pizza for one of our party, and she loved it! And the service was very friendly, even when the restaurant was a busy madhouse. Try the spinach, mushroom, and gorgonzola. Superb.

Heard a lot of legendary stuff about the pizza here. So I was afraid it would not live up to the hype. I was wrong. This is the BEST pizza I've ever had in my life. It's the real deal thin crust, choice of toppings and nothing foolish like goat cheese, figs or pears. Thank God! They serve pizza, salad,... More

This is probably the best pizzeria in the East if not the whole country!! It certainly has a famous list of visitors from the past from Frank Sinatra to Bill Clinton. It's so New Haven. Every pizza is super with their white clam the tops!! Their high heat ovens dating back to the 1930's are just the best using wood... More

Having read reviews on Frank Pepe's Pizzeria for a couple of years we decided to try it. Let me say first of all during "busy time" parking could be tough, we arrived at 8:30 pm and felt lucky to get a parking spot. The building itself feels like a local pizza place should, nothing fancy, just comfortable. The menu offers... More

A thin crust pizza baked to perfection in a brick oven. Loads of toppings to chose from. Ummmmmmm a mouthwatering, must try, if visting New Haven.

Another New Haven institution that hardly needs my endorsement, but I give it one anyway. The pizza is fantastic, the service is good, unfortunately the pizza is so good, if it's a common meal time there is a very good chance you'll have to wait. It's worth the wait if the weather is good though, so don't fret. Don't go... More

I've been purchasing pizza from Pepe's(also Pepe's The Spot) for years. The staff is great and every pie leaves you wanting more. This is definitely a "must visit" if your ever in Connecticut. The great part is they now have expanded their restaurants so whether your in the southern or northern part of the State your not far from them.

So, the hubby and I like to eat and will travel for good food. For a few years we see this pizzeria at the top of a top 100 list. Driving through CT, we google it because it's around lunch time and the hungries are building. Frank Pepes isn't too far off our route, surely a no brainier. We stop,... More

This coal fired brick oven is one of the best pizza places I've ever been to. We got there on a sunday morning at 11:15 and there was already a line to get in at 11:30 am. Well worth the wait. Service was excellent. We ordered a plain cheese, a clam pizza and a tomato pie. All were very yummy... More

So we were driving from the Boston area back to New York and had a strict instruction to stop at New Haven to have pizza. Frank Pepe's is a classic taken out of the last century with dinner style booths and no nonsense serving antiques. The pizza is awesome and does not compare to anything else I have eaten before....
