We stopped in for an early dinner at a rather quiet time. The waitress very patiently explained what was in the different kinds of food. Between her helpfulness and the menu describing the various edibles in both English and Spanish, there is no reason one can't get a clear idea of what he or she is ordering. The tamal I... More

Three of us arrived around 5:45 pm on a Wednesday. We were the only customers to that point. Despite that, our food arrived lukewarm to almost cold. How does that even happen? The flavor and quality of the food was good, I wouldn't say great, even if it were hot. The margarita was good, fresh lime, but I really wanted... More

Four of us recently dined at this funky restaurant and were all pleased with the experience. The decor of toy iguanas and frogs is amusing, but the menu was sophisticated. We had tamales which are filled with chicken or pork - both excellent; shrimp ceviche and shrimp tacos also really good. Service was prompt and friendly, and we all vowed... More

My fiance is basically an authentic mexican cuisine aficionado, non of that overly cheesy gooey stuff, fresh ingredients, well seasoned - and that is exactly what we got here. We had read about it in an online article and it did not disappoint. The margaritas are made with real lime juice, not too sweet. The fish tacos were to die... More

Well, after a long night burning all our energy at the Roller Rink across the street, and a run over to the frozen yogurt shop down the road, we were still in need of food. The Taqueria still had it's lights on, and there were a couple people still dinning in, so we popped in. After taking our seats we... More

I gave Iguanas Ranas a 4 rating because having been to Mexico and eaten Authentic Mexican food this is truly Mexican food unlike a lot of the competition. That being said I actually like the Americanized Mexican food better than authentic Mexican food. But I don't want to take my personal preference away from the rating because as far as... More

My husband ordered the taco salad and it was a bowl of lettuce with ground beef advertised on the menu as steak. There was no salsa, sour cream or cheese. There was nothing taco about it. He was extremely disappointed. My Suicide Burrito was so nasty. Four small pieces of chicken and the sauce was not very good. I'm not... More

The fish taco was very good. Cooked well and crunchy. The beef taco was a little dry. It was a nice visit.

The restaurant was clean and the staff was friendly. I went during off hours, between lunch and dinner, so was seated right away. To start, the chips and salsa are not complimentary, and would have been disappointing even if they were. The salsa was chunky and while bits of onion and cilantro were visible, the only flavor I got was... More
