Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

With the return of the Friday $50 for three courses menu at the Vinyard Kitchen, and with a warm sunny day predicted we booked in advance which, I would suggest is essential at this venue. Situated in the stunning Bickley Vally, just a 30-minute drive from Perth CBD this beautiful mini wine region is often overlooked by the tourists who tend to flock to the much larger Swan Valley, and yet the wines produced in the Valley are certainly equal in quality of those to be found in the Swan Valley and, indeed in the Margaret River Region to the South of Perth. There are fewer wineries and therefore fewer restaurants and cafes in the Valley, but The Vineyard Kitchen must surely be able to claim to rank up at the top with the rest of them. Friendly staff, a relaxed atmosphere, free wine tasting at the cellar door for diners and exquisite cuisine all combine to deliver a unique and totally memorable experience. Highly recommended are the sparkling Methode champagnoise, the wonderfully crisp and light rose and the fortified shiraz. Particularly recommended from today's menu were the shredded duck salad and the whiting, whilst the goat's curd with honeycomb dessert was also particularly delightful. All the food is prepared to order so expect to wait for the initial course, but this also gives ample time to enjoy a glass (or more) of the superb wines on offer. Totally and highly recommended.

I had the pleasure of visiting Brookside Vineyard in Bickley WA yesterday for the first time ever and it is certainly a place I will go back to! The owners, Peter and Fay, were warm and welcoming and the ambience in the Vineyard Kitchen, complete with log fire, was sublime! The food and wine was absolutely fabulous! I started with the Shark Bay Scallops and Moncilla on Romesco Sauce followed by Panko crumbed Shark Bay Whiting, courgettes and almond cream and yes I know, fish for both courses and from Shark Bay but it had to be done! Prior to this I visited their wine cellar and ended up purchasing six bottles in all of wine and port. I had the Sangiovese Rose with lunch and it was a perfect combination. After lunch a stroll around the gardens and down the country lanes was a great way to take in the views and work off all that wonderful food and wine. A must see and do for anyone who loves the Perth Hills as I do!!

We had our last lunch in Australia here before flying back to Uk and what a lovely memory to come back with. Set in the gardens with many shaded seating areas, we had an excellent three course lunch, (the food was too good to have less). The owners are on hand offering wine tastings and all their staff share their enthusiasm for good food and wine, having great knowledge of the menu range available. Excellent service and definitely a place I want to go back to.

The whole experience was terribly disappointing. I had to ask for side plates with our bread and olives, and again when we shared a cheeseboard. There are no prices on the menu (other than "Add $5" next to the cheeseboard). The waitress, who was very intrusive, kept asking if we wanted 2 courses or 3. I thought she was asking if we planned to have dessert or not, but after repeated attempts on our part she finally said that 2 courses cost $55, and three cost $68 per person. A small glass of wine was $15 which is over the top. When it came time to pay, the same waitress was very argumentative. And the menu is limited.

We sat outside in amongst the weeping willows. I loved the pure white cotton table clothes. The staff offered an excellent friendly service, nothing was too much trouble. The courses were well paced and the food was delicious, I had smoked trout which was delightful followed by confit of duck perfectly cooked, three of us had it and felt we would have like a potato of some sort with it, then we creme brûlée cooked once again to perfection. We all throughly enjoyed the experience even meet some very friendly people on next table,

We booked here to celebrate our mother's 70th Birthday lunch. The location is lush and green however due to wet weather we sat inside. The indoor atmosphere was very relaxing and rustic with a wood fire burning creating a lovely ambience. With a group of about 30 people I was impressed with the timing of the three courses being presented at the same time. The food was absolutely delicious and of a high quality. Every member in our group had nothing but praise for the food, service and atmosphere. I would highly recommend this place as the value for money is superb. Ryan does an amazing job and I will definitely be coming back.

We had the most exquisite lunch while enjoying the garden setting on a beautiful spring Sunday. We started with beef cheeks and a Haloumi salad followed by lamb encased in pastry and a shredded duck summer salad washed down with a bottle of Brookside rose. We finished with fresh honeycomb topped with goats cheese curd. All so deliciously prepared by chef Ryan. Our fourth visit here and won’t be our last.

Beautiful location in the Bickley hills. Had hoped to sit outside as pictures looked beautiful but was advised they were inside from now on due to cooler weather - and they were right, Bickley always seems to be cooler than any neighbouring area. Fire was on inside for great atmosphere. Had a wine tasting at bar first to chose a wine, the Fume Blanc went very nicely with our meal. Food was tasty and well paced, service excellent. $50 friday 3 course special great value with good range of choices. Did not realise big doors at back were used for facility access, so would avoid this table in future due to coming and goings right by us. Other than that a great experience and will certainly come again.

I have been to The Vineyard Kitchen on several occasions and always walk away with a smile! Yesterday with a party of 8, I again was delighted. Lunch under the willows was perfect on such a glorious day! Food was absolutely delicious and the service was personal and friendly. Thank you for making our visit to the Bickley Valley such a memorable one. We will be back !

My sister and I stumbled across this delightful boutique winery/restaurant quite by chance. Food was amazing topped off by great wine from the vineyard. We hadn’t booked but accomodating owners squeezed us in. Would recommend as a go to place in the Bickley Valley book ahead as not to be missed Thank you Michael and Jocelyn

Stumbled across this beautiful place on a Sunday afternoon. I have never experienced such terrible service. We came for lunch after a hike. And have being judged badly for our looks by the blonde woman (assuming she is the manager) we asked for the menu and being told that they don’t serve burgers and fries! Fair, but there is a way to explain to your customers! It’s such a pity when such a beautiful place has such a backward and toxic culture.
