Living in LA spoils us with great weather and even better sushi. For many years, it was impossible to get good fresh sushi in Vail. But, Osakis changed that. Providing fresh fish & ingredients (wasabi freshly grated in front of you anyone?) in an intimate setting is so perfect. There are only 20 seats or so in the entire restaurant,... More

Had concerns from previous posts but a cozy and inviting space. The Edamame was standard and fine. Very much enjoyed the miso soup and shisito pepper. We shared sushi rolls and the better ones were the crunchy ones (Osaki). Again we shared the sashimi which comprised tuna, salmon, prawn and clam. Very fresh and not surprisingly expensive. Would be happy... More

Osaki...you continue to remind me of how much I miss Japan. Most Japanese restaurants in the US don't even come close, but you make it amazing every time. Yoroshiku. Dibu

First let me start by saying I believed this was the best Japanese in Vail and not only in Vail, one of the best places to eat authentic sushi in the whole US. Went there for dinner this week and the service is still terrible (you used to accept it because of the food) but the food quality has gone... More

Go there for the sushi. Not for the place or ambiance. The food is good. Real Japanese sushi. The space is small and is not comfortable. Very limited reservations and only for the very same day. Need to arrive in time since they will limit your reservation to a couple of ours. This is a good place to go and... More

Exceptional sushi and sashimi dishes exquisitely prepared by chef Takeshi and his staff, in addition to some wagyu beef dishes like the tataki made for an unforgettable experience for us. Totally recommend the Omakasse!

This is a very small Japanese restaurant in Vail village. It seems that they can only survive by the extremely high prices they charge. For example, $65US for 8 pieces of sashimi is a bit steep. I went for the hand rolls, which were the smallest things I have ever seen. It was crowded, rushed and poor ambience. The sake... More

The restaurant a large open spaced style restaurant with a large bar area. I have dined in many Japanese restaurants. The Chefs specials are extremely well presented and taste as good as they look. The only pitfall to the restaurant is the price. The restaurant is extremely overpriced.

After deciding between May Palace and this restaurant we choose Osaki's due to TripAdvisor reviews. Little did we know that the food was driven from May Palace and served in Osaki's. We ordered starters which never arrived. After challenging the server when the mains arrived first we were told they would be another 25 min (ie the driving time between... More

Amazing sushi in cute setting in the middle of Vail, Colorado. Very small place with owner/chef Takeshi taking good care of you. Food is really worth the visit. Do make a reservation because it packs. My only complaint was when I made the reservation for six people they asked for a credit card number and said they would make a... More
