Some say "it's the only restaurant in town" like that's a bad thing. As someone who is frequently paralyzed by choice, this turned out to be a blessing because it was either dinner at the Inn's restaurant or heating up some dehydrated mashed potatoes left...More

My wife and I have been supporting this restaurant for the past twenty years. There have been many owners and chefs. Tonight was one of our best dinners there ever. The bison steak was to die for in addition to the potatoes and veggies.More

Driving north from rafting Browns Canyon, we were hungry and ready for a nice meal. Buena Vista didn't offer much since everything was extremely busy or closed, but we were happy that we found the Twin Lakes Inn restaurant. We had planned to fish and...More

Food a bit pricey. I had the trout which was good, but the sauce was way too hot. Unfortunately, my husband had some type of chili relleno I think. He was up all night with a bad stomach. He likes hot food, but this was...More

Ate here one evening while staying at the Twin Lakes Inn. Loved the chicken parmesan and the halibut, which was the featured special that evening!

We're glad your foursome could join us for dinner, James. Thanks for understanding the benefit of reservations during the busy months of July and August. We have some renovations planned for this fall that, if successful, should allow us to add a bit more seating,...More

To begin, it's hard not to like a simple old historic restaurant near a lake with mountain views! The old stone and wood interior is a joy to see. The food here is disappointing. The salad was pretty basic with a strange, viscous dressing they...More

We stayed in Buena Vista and drove to the top of Independence Pass. The tiny, historical town of Twin Lakes is in the middle, so we stopped there for lunch. The Twin Lakes Inn is a small, 1880's working lodge - complete with key boxes...More

Thank you for dining with us on your Indy Pass adventure, Penny. Yes, the lobby stove still works, though we use radiant baseboard heat when the air turns nippy. We hope you can come back, perhaps for dinner or an overnight.

Description
The restaurant inside The Twin Lakes Inn opens May 25 for its 2017 season. We offer lodging guests, locals and visitors a sampling of Colorado culinary specialties within its historic setting. The Dayton Dining Room takes its name from the original name - Dayton - given to Twin Lakes Village back in the 1800s. Our capable kitchen and service staff make sure that every guest enjoys a relaxed and scrumptious dining experience. Our meals feature comfortable Colorado and American cuisine served just the way you love it! Due to seating limits required by the fire dept, dining reservations are strongly recommended, especially on weekends and during the peak months of July and August.
