La Marmotte is one of our favorite restaurants in town. Consistently good inspired food. Special atmosphere. Friendly attentive staff. Ask for the Elderflower cocktail which is no longer on the menu but a fantastic combination of St Germain, champagne, pear liquor and lemon. Refreshing and elegant!

We were expecting a very good French restaurant experience, but that is not quite what we got. I ordered a baked salmon supposed to come with "crispy calamari" which seemed like a potentially interesting contrast. There was calamari, but it was not crispy. And there was rice that was seriously overcooked and mushy. The choice of desserts was quite limited.... More

I don't see how the reviews are so stellar. The service was average and apathetic. The martini was not made with care. The Spanish music was nice, but definitely out of place in a French bistro. The food never seemed more than adequate. Nothing special with any of our choices. Overall, the place seems plain and lacking inspiration. I would... More

Had a great dinner here. Ordered a bottle of wine and when they brought just glasses, thought they were holding it elsewhere. They later realized they'd just poured us glasses from the bar, so they gave us 2 more glasses no charge. Had delicious deviled eggs w steak tartare on it. Braised short ribs were moist, delicious. Def a great... More

Quaint little restaurant. Farily pricey as most French restaurant are. But all entrees were delicious and enjoyed.

Never been, was there for a party. The best food, very pleased with all the selections. Very quaint, nice outdoor seating. The cheeses and selections were yummy. Nice wine and drink menu.

The restaurant service warmed up, but from hostess to server it was a little chilly at the start. However, the kitchen really overcame any hesitation based on service issues, and the service gradually warmed up. The steak tartare was modern and elegant, while the duck breast was particularly nicely paired with dark cherries. But the scene stealer was the plum... More

This restaurant has been consistently good since I moved to Telluride 23 years ago! Fantastic ambiance in any of the 3 dinning areas. Stop by the bar area or outside seating if you don't have reservations.

Located in a small house, this restaurant is very romantic and provides a special dining experience -- in a relaxed, not-at-all-stuffy way. Oysters, beet salad, tuna sashimi, beef cheeks were all excellent as is the staff. It's small and often hard to get in, but be patient and arrange your dinner reservations if need be. La Marmotte is worth it.
