Great diner food! I had the chicken fried steak and eggs and it was the perfect choice for me. A huge portion of hash browns and marble rye toast made this meal a winner.

We stopped on a Sunday on our way through to Colo. Was a waiting line for tables so sat at the counter the first time in years. It was fun and was waited on right away. We thought service was fine, but the owner felt we had to wait to long so our breakfast was on them. The food was... More

It's just a short drive off the interstate and a great meal. We have stopped here for breakfast several times on our way from WI to CO. Local crowd, fast service and good food. So nice after a long night of driving!

J & L is a great place to stop and had a good meal with family and friends. If you are traveling on I-76, head into town and take a right at the bottom of the overpass. Worth the stop.

Friendly staff and fast service that does not compromise quality. I had the German sausage with two eggs. The sausage was some of the best German sausage I have had. I thought it was locally made, but was informed otherwise. The restaurant has been there since the early 60s and it is a come as you are establishment making the... More

Stopped in on our way through to Colorado Springs. It gave us the real home town mom and pop restaraunt feel. This was on later Sunday morning after church got out. They were busy but yet attentive. The food was excellent! All four of us raved about our food! Couldn't complain at all about the price either. Would definitely recommend... More

Spending a week in Sterling you want comfort food. I ordered breakfast for dinner. Within 5 minutes, my crisp bacon, eggs, hash browns and sourdough toast were ready. Nice home town spoon! Staff was really attentive, fast payment, and I was out.

We had lunch there today with some friends and it was awesome! I had the chicken tender dinner and my wife had the chicken fried steak. Comfort food 101, so good! Seated immediately, friendly server who provided an enjoyable dining experience. Good food, generous portions, prompt service. My only negative would be a preference of romaine instead of iceberg lettuce.

My husband and I stopped at this diner for dinner with our 3 kids en route from Colorado to Iowa. The portions are large and the prices very reasonable. With tax, all 5 of us ate for $32. My husband had the cod dinner and I had the chicken fried chicken meal. Each kids meal was under $4. Our waiter... More

The food portions were large. We all got breakfast food and the food was fine, nothing special. The server was rude and nobody was friendly. When we asked our server questions about the menu, she looked at us like we were bothering her.

Thank Danielle G
