Challenging 18 holes in the heart of the San Juan mountains. Front 9 along the Rio Grande river and the back 9 in the mountains. Dramatic elevation changes...explains why the golf carts are gas. The 18th hole has a breathtaking tee shot. Played it 3 times while in the area. Would have played 4, but the weather shut us down.

Had lunch at this club today, What a great setting for a class country Club in the mountains. PLUS having a superb dinning facility that offers a great selection of high quality food. We enjoyed our lunch and would recommend to others !!

We enjoyed the view of the golf course while eating lunch here. Everyone in our group enjoyed their meals. Would recommend trying eating here.

Don't eat the fresh salsa! Everything tasted great but I was sick for two days after having the chips and salsa.

the golf course is championship caliper in design and condition. it is a tale of two different nines with one in the hills and the other in the flatlands along the Rio Grande. you even have a par three hitting over the Rio.

Nice place to have lunch. Good variety of food. Worth going to for a nice place to hang out and enjoy the view. Husband and kids played golf and enjoyed the facilities. Top notch course. Green and lush.

We went here with another couple on a Friday at about 4:45 in the evening. Happy hour is between 4 and 5 pm. We weren't sure what to expect, but we were pleasantly surprised. The bar had about four to five people and we were the only ones in the restaurant. Although there are linens most seemed to be wearing... More

This used to be a wonderful place with great food and amenities. New owner has basically let it go and now it is not even open during ski season. Local talk says it was bought by a "Ministry" in an attempt to flip the property....South Fork has so much potential, but failing to maintain a prominent facility like this is... More

Last night, 8/28/14, 4 of us had a delightful dining experience at the beautiful Timbers Dining Room at The Rio Grande Club. The service was prompt and friendly as Rebecca served us a wonderfully delicious meal. Everything about the evening was first class: the ambience, the views out the large windows, the massive rock fireplace and the decor of the... More
