The food was pricy. Nothing to write home about. The service was slow. The steak was okay. The pasta and the soup weren't great.

After getting off the railroad this was a great little spot to have lunch. The service was quick and the food was good. Our girls really liked the kids meals that they got. Possibly some of the best kids meals on the entire trip.

We took the train from Durango to Silverton and during our 2h stopover in Silverton, we ate at the Pickle Barrel. Excellent food. My partners Reuben was piled high with meat and I had a burger topped with a whole portobello mushroom and cheese. Delicious.
There in nothing really GREAT in Silverton. This establishment is certainly acceptable for the area for food, drink and service.
