This is so worth the Gorgeous drive from Telluride! The only problem is that it is poorly marked--hopefully they will have better signage soon. It's right on the main highway, but if you pass the gas station on the other end of town, you've just passed the restaurant.

This is my favorite restaurant in SW Colorado, if not the entire SW region. Excellent food, and unpretentious menu. Always had a great experience every time I've been here. Still cant believe such a wonderful restaurant exists in such a small town. Bravo

We've eaten at the Argentine many times and it's always excellent. Tonight we opted for carry-out and it was amazing. Seriously, if you're visiting Telluride, take the beautiful drive over Lizard Head Pass (only 30 minutes) to the Argentine Grill. Tonight we had two different fish dishes and two delightful salads - in fact, the best Cesar salad we've ever... More

Tucked back into the tiny town of Rico, Colorado lies this picturesque restaurant. Most people would drive right through Rico and never even notice it. It's a bit pricey, but the food and service are outstanding. The "outdoor" deck was enclosed in a clear "tent", giving us a relaxing outdoor feel but retaining the heat from the nearby deck heater.... More

We dined here over 4th of July weekend, after a beautiful hike along the Lizard Head trail. The hostess/server was delightful. We each enjoyed an appetizer-the corn chowder and crab cakes- shared a bottle of wine and split an early bird steak special. The prices were reasonable for the quality...best we have had in the Telluride area. The bread alone... More

The drive from Telluride to Rico is beautiful, and the treat waiting at the end is the Argetine Grill. The chef, Eamonn, creates a wonderful menu: delicious soups (the corn bisque with crab is outstanding), wonderful entrees, all accompanied with fresh baked bread and whole cloves of roasted garlic. The prices are incredibly fair, even if you don't go for... More

This restaurant is attached to a quaint quirky miners residence turned hotel. The food is AMAZING! So unexpected and wonderful! Try everything from the limited menu. Dinner cost was very acceptable for the quality and freshness and taste of everything. Get away from the overprice pomp of Telluride and make the 30min beautiful drive to Rico and stay the night.... My husband eat here every summer. The food is excellent. My husband had the salmon and I had the flat iron steak...both were delicious. We have been twice this summer and might try to go again.

Chef Eamonn is here because he loves living in a tiny little out of the way mining town and his cuisine competes with any in any city. There was an early bird special ($15.00) but we aren't early birds. Very nice bottle of Spanish Godello wine ($40.00 and the most expensive white in the house), delicious corn and mixed vegetable... Chef Eamonn O'Hara brings to the quiet town of Rico the Argentine Grille-named after the Argentine mining company-his cuisine is contemporary modern American cuisine-with heavy emphasis on local organic meats & produce giving the restaurant a distinctively regional flair.O'Hara has been fortunate to work with some of the worlds top chefs like Wolfgang Puck and Dean Fearing of Mansion on Turtle Creek fame.
