Had lunch here a couple of months ago - the meal was very good, and plentiful, and the prices were surprising low. Give it a try!!!

Driving from Westcliffe to Castle Rock on 5/5/17 we wanted to find good Mexican food in honor of Cinco de Mayo. We love the restaurants in Palmer Lake but somehow in our last few years after living in for 7 years in Corrales NM we missed this 10 star gem. Unfortunately CO does not 'do' Mexican food. The owner is... More

We came upon this restaurant by accident for dinner. Although a little pricier than we had planned on spending...it was so worth it. First, it's a small family restaurant and the atmosphere is so relaxing and homey. The food is very fresh. Starting with chips and salsa, the salsa is diced fresh tomatoes and vegetables with black beans. They also... More

More than anything, the service here is so friendly. It really feels like I've gone to a friend's house for dinner! Food is unique and tasty. This past visit, I happened to comment on how much I enjoyed the vegetables that came alongside my entree and the owner went back and had an additional side of vegetables and polenta prepared... I've eaten here a few times, but had a bad experience and will not return. The servers were terribly disorganized. Different people would approach my table, but no one would take my order or serve my food. It took a long time to get served The Abovada was okay, but not great. The meal was terribly expensive.

What can I say? Really good southwestern food here in Palmer Lake. Great cuisine, good service and nice setting. I almost don't want to write this review because everyone else will discover it.

La Rosa is fabulous! Housemade chips and salsa. Warm atmosphere. Staff made you feel like you were family. Chili samples offered and enjoyed-----green chili from Pueblo, mild chili, and hatch red chili sauces. We shared a Christmas (red and green chili) burrito, stacked enchiladas, and the special for the night----butternut squash bake with cheese and green chili. The food was... More

Reminds me of Corrales, NM in the 1970's. Cozy NM atmosphere, ristras & paintings on wall for sale. As recommended lamb shank was tender & tasty, marinated in NM red chile (SIC). Carne adovada (marinated chile pork) had enough bite & also was tender. Try sampler of red & green chile. Personally, I like garlic & salt in chile which... More
