A trip to Marble is always great and a meal at the only restaurant in town is great. We stopped in during off-season (they close at the end of October) and it was still pretty crowded on a Monday afternoon. We tried the brisket, ribs...and sausage and they were all great. We appreciate the laid back style and surroundings. Definitely a worthwhile stop.More

The only bad thing about our visit here was the long wait to get seated and get to eating, however, it was a Saturday around 1 in the afternoon so it really was to be expected. We ordered drinks while we waited and enjoyed watching...the people enjoying the fresh mountain air. The food was really yummy and the portions were generous. I pulled a pile of the pork off my sandwich because it was so big and gave it to my hubby who is a big man. He had the salmon also and he loved every bite. The coleslaw he ordered with it was good. It wasn't just dipped out of a pre-made container from the Sysco truck. It had a unique flavor but was still coleslaw. Again, it was a generous portion. I love going to Marble simply to see the beauty of the place, but we're glad we decided to eat here also.More

Situated at the end of County 3, six miles in from CO 133 (a great scenic drive through the White River National Forest once you clear the urban sprawl of Glenwood Springs and Cabondale), is a rustic bar cum BBQ joint. It was offering live...entertainment when we dropped in late on a Friday afternoon. The place seemed well staffed, but service was appalling. I asked for a glass with my beer, and it never came. We both asked for water three separate times, and it finally arrived as we were getting ready to pay the bill... which we ended up paying at the bar because our server was never to be seen again. And there is one restroom for what at the time were over 75 customers, generating a line that we could observe from the patio, and which at times was six deep. Despite the beautiful setting and reasonably good food, for us this was a one and done. As for the food, we started with their version of jalapeno poppers, which had good smoke and heat, and came with a good slab of house made cornbread. For the main, we shared a 2 meat platter (brisket and sausage), with 2 sides (baked beans and coleslaw), and an additional side of fries. The house made sides were all tasty, and the fatty end of the brisket had good smoke, bark and pink ring. In contrast, the sausage was mushy and bland; we poured on the mustard to eat one, but simply left the second on the plate. If you choose to come here, we recommend that you avoid peak hours.More

Had dinner here on a rainy Tuesday evening. Although the place was packed we still had excellent service. My dinner (smoked salmon platter) was outstanding. Fun, lively atmosphere with both indoor and outdoor seating.

Tender, tasty, fall off the bone BBQ. This restaurant is off the main road, but don't let that stop you from going there. Friendly service and finger lickin good food is all that needs to be said.

Stopped in for a meal before heading up to Crystal Mill. Friendly people, good food. Can't tell if anyone ate all of their food, piled on. But we didn't leave hungry.

Such a great stop on our trip. Excellent food, exceptional staff, and every COVID protocol followed to a tee. These guys had it all. Would definitely do this again.
