Sent by locals, endorsed by locals and dined with locals! Had the pleasure of having lunch with several local active military members. Great food, fresh ingredients, reasonable prices. service was outstanding! You absolutely have to check it out!

My girlfriend and I visited the Tenneessee Pass Cookhouse on a Saturday and we loved it! What a great opportunity for a brief cross country ski or snowshoe into a yurt for a full fixed price dinner. We enjoyed the appetizer of boar sausage, fruit, cheese. The next course was soup or salad. Diners have a choice of four dinners... More

A four course meal is offered with reservations. To start you xc ski or snowshoe about 1 mile to the yurt, have cocktails and then a great meal, then you trek back in the dark with a headlamp. Pretty cool. They provide all equipment you choose. The day we went things where pretty hard pack so we just walked. I... More

This is a great experience but they need to do something about the Johns. Disgusting to say the least. Food was not up to par with previous visits. Warm cookies were over the top and took the attention off the mediocre burger at 18 bucks.

Rather than ski on New Year's Eve, we decided to snowshoe and make reservations here for lunch. We only decided on this three weeks prior, so we were surprised they had an available slot to accommodate two of us for the earlier lunch seating (the later lunch seating was fully booked). We arrived in the parking lot and checked in... More

We arrived at the Nordic Center and the staff was really welcoming and helpful getting us set with gear and on our way. We arrived a short time later after the trek at the cookhouse. Although a little out of breath, the atmosphere was awesome and the yurt looked very warm and welcoming. The apps and soup(corn chowder was exceptional)... More

My best girlfriend and I booked a dinner and the sleep yurts for one night. From the moment we arrived the staff was super friendly and helpful. We snowshoed in to our sleep yurt before dinner and our yurt had a fire already going making it super cozy. Dinner was fantastic, the food was incredible, and the service and staff... More

Stopped here after skiing to grab a drink and watch football. Literally stumbled across one of the most amazing burgers I have had to date. Passing through or are near Leadville?! Stop! Won't be disappointed. Quint place with great service!

We arrived to be greeted by friendly staff. The walk combined favourite winter activities - the outdoors, snow, stars and walking. Food was excellent as was the service. Highly recommend it to see the real side of Colorado nature.

We spent a night in a yurt and dined at the Cookhouse, making this one of the most memorable Thanksgivings ever. The food was superb, a classic Thanksgiving done creatively with great local specialties. The wine selection was limited, but that was no problem -- at this elevation, alcohol is something to sip lightly. Service was warmly welcoming, attentive and... More
