Food was cold and bland. Wait staff unresponsive-don't waste your time. It was not very busy in there to explain the poor service.

I'm sure people from around the Denver area have a great selection for Mexican food but in the Midwest it is more Tex-Mex. We stopped for lunch and really enjoyed the food and Margs. Service was fast and friendly and the prices were very good. We will definitely be back on our next trip.

My husband and I were returning from a 3-day ski trip and decided to stop for dinner in Idaho Springs before returning to Denver. It is an easy off and on the highway in Idaho Springs. We went to Azteca where we enjoyed good margaritas and delicious food. We were waited on by an adult female and also a young... More

My wife and I usually steal away for a morning of soaking in the hot spring and lunch here in Idaho Springs. Azteca has delicious authentic Mexican food. Just the slaw\salsa is amazing to me... I could eat a bowl of just that. But really, everything is awesome... you can't go wrong here.

Tasty and generous dishes with great tomatillo sauce. Waiter was able to adjust menu items to accommodate vegan daughters and carnivorous husband

The food here is surprisingly tasty and authentic. My dining companion had Steak Chicano. It has a seductive sweet flavor and then the spicy knocks you for a delicious punch. I had a cheese enchilada, as I judge every Mexican restaurant by this staple. The sauce was great and I could really taste the corn flavor of the tortilla through... More

Overall the food was pretty good. The place was small but cozy. Needed some updating. Service was good and prompt. Only Mexican restaurant in town other then del taco.

Stopped for lunch on the way up the mountain, and what a great little place this turned out to be. Knew right away we were in luck when we tried the salsa...authentic and quality all the way. Little bit of a dive...but in my experience that's how most of the great little Mexican restaurants feel.

Nice service and atmosphere. Wish the quality and flavor was more - food comes out a little sloppy, soggy and lacks real flavor. It's ok in a pinch when there's nothing else open. Had cheese enchiladas, tostadas. Salsa resembles doctored up tomato sauce. The serve it with a "slaw" that does not add much to any flavor.

Ate there this evening with friends. Service was slow, only one meal was considered good. Asked for mild salsa and it was rather spicy (hot). All the waiter had to say was that is all we have. Not worth going back to.
