We went to the 626 on Rood pretty much based on the TripAdvisor reviews but we were pretty disappointed. The wine selections were “ok” and we sampled several - the food really wasn’t that great. It could just be our taste in foods but the options are “Fru Fru,” derived from the phrase spelled "frou-frou" meaning fancy, elegant or very... More

This is an awful restaurant! The staff was extremely rude to us. They did not bring us refills, and when we ordered he giggled at what we picked. It's like they thought they were So much better than us. My wife and I will not be going back to this place! It is totally not worth the money!

We have been a highly rated and regarded restaurant for over ten years, and we work very hard every day to ensure a great experience for all of our guests. Save this one for a special occasion--bit pricey but great wine list and wonderful food. We had the holiday dinner which was delicious. Not sure how they did up the wild rice but it was so so tasty!
This bistro w/ fine dining and thoughtful (and local) wines is amazing to find in this dusty small city in the desert! Junction ain't no Boulder, and many would say it doesn't even deserve a place as cool as 626, but the few locals who regularly go in there "get it", plus, there are enough tourists passing thru that keep... Our go-to place whenever we pass through or stay in Grand Junction. Our experience: pricey, but worth it! Extensive menu, and staff seems to be able to adjust to diners' needs quite easily. Side veggies were amazing--about five different kinds, roasted to perfection. Lamb was succulent and cooked with Palisade peaches, which added a fab sweetness to the dish. Coffee... More
Disappointed in 626 especially since it was recommended. Although service was good, I was disappointed in the small portions for the price. It's hard to imagine 3 oz. of steak, before it's been cooked, but it ends up pretty small and costing around $23.00. Additionally, we asked for a house wine, knowing typically that when asking for a house wine... More

We strive to use the freshest ingredients in our dishes and value quality over quantity. That being said, although some of our portions might be smaller than what other restaurants serve, we do our very best... More
I have never had a bad meal at 626, but I was wholly unprepared for the the culinary nirvana of their amusement hour meatball sandwich! full flavored meatballs with a spicy tomatillo sauce with the perfect amount of heat, cilantro and queso. Sometimes I dream about it...really. Paired with one of their daily wine or cocktail specials of the day... More
I dine at this restaurant every time I am in Grand Junction. It is my favorite place with the food above the other restaurants in Grand Junction. I had the wagyu beef tenderloin which is probably the best steak I have had this year. I had a glass Willhamite Valley Pinot. I am glad that I don't live in Grand... More
