il Bistro Italiano is open again for lunch. Great experience on the patio on a warm summer day and misters were available if we needed one. We highly recommend this great restaurant on Main Street Downtown. You won't be sorry☺

We only spent a night in Grand Junction but when we scrolled through the Trip Advisor recommendations, we opted for this one and we're glad we did. The food was among the best Italian food we've ever had. The service was relaxed and excellent. All...More

My wife and I were in Grand Junction for one night, and we decided to dine at il Bistro Italiano. We were very pleased with the entire experience. The wait staff was attentive. The wine was nice. The food was great - we split the...More

This is a good restaurant in a one-horse town so they should be significantly less full of themselves than they are..."we are not allowed to serve pasta with saltimbocca" really! how gauche...get over yourselves...so I obviously didn't try the saltimbocca but the pasta and deserts...More

My wife, daughter, and I went to the iL Bistro based on other Tripadvisor reviews. We left thinking that we must be a bit weird, as none of us thought it lived up to the hype. It is an attractive restaurant with good service. In...More

This has always been a favorite restaurant of mine when we visit Grand Junction. The food was still delicious, but the service was not so good. Too a LONG time to get our drinks and then our food. The waitress seemed very "scattered", but nice...More

My husband and I had dinner here on a recent trip to Grand Junction. I thought the menu very eclectic with many good choices. I had their version of Shrimp Scampi. I loved how it was served over spiralized green and yellow squash, red peppers,...More

Nowhere in the description does it say that pasta fumicatta comes with spinach. I should have sent it back, but I'm too nice and my husband would never complain. Not one of their best nights for good service either. I know they can do better.

The food was really good. Our server, Amy, super helpful and fun. We had reservations for a Sunday evening and ended up 30 minutes early. Although half the tables were empty, they had us wait 20 minutes so they could "set the table up". The...More

Last time we were at iL Bistro Italiano we brought a party of 24. That was in 2015 and had a great experience. I took my wife there tonight. We did not have a reservation but were seated in 15 minutes. Another couple came in several minutes after us without a reservation and waited with us. They were seated before us. Why? We finally were seated and sat for 20 minutes without a waiter stopping by our table and taking a drink order. Why? The couple who should have been after us received their drinks. We left and thanked the hostess for seating us. Will NEVER go back there. Boycott this restaurant. The service is poor and the customer is treated like cattle by the waitstaff. My question is why?

never had that experience in 25+ visits, but 20 minutes is a lot longer in the city than here in the "country". relax.

il Bistro Italiano opened in August 1998. Our focus is on bringing a combination of traditional Italian dishes together with some innovative ones created within the boundaries of modern Italian cuisine. The pastas, breads, sauces, and desserts are all made at the restaurant from fresh ingredients. Our wine list features a large selection of wines from Italy and Colorado, and whenever possible, we use local ingredients in our kitchen. There is always something going on at the Bistro, so look at the Events Section to learn of special wine nights, cooking classes or other featured events.
