My mother wanted to come here for Sunday Brunch for her 89th birthday because she has many fond memories of this restaurant. It was the perfect choice for her very special day. The food was delicious and very well presented. Fresh fruit and yummy pastries are already on the table when you are seated. My father and I both had... More

I've eaten here three or four times before yesterday (1/16/17), and plan to return, as the overall experience is very nice--beautiful dining rooms, very good service (Jason), fine fireplace. The special appetizer, which was not on the menu for awhile but has returned, was very good, the shrimp especially delicious. I have one suggestion though, tell the chef to learn... More

Food is mediocre at best. For this price, the food should be amazing. The "poached" salmon was so overcooked it was dry and almost crisp and very fishy. Prime rib was meh. Coffee was luke warm and watered down. Mimosa's were good. Service was slow but polite and friendly. However, despite having not taken but two bites of the salmon... More

Went here for my wife's birthday. We have been here several times over the years. While I would agree with others that it is not as good as it used to be, the food is still good. We really enjoyed the appetizer tray. I had halibut that was prepared just right. I travelled to Alaska on business for many years,... More

We were here recently celebrating my parents Golden Anniversary. They took very good care of us and paid attention to all the details. We had our many courses and enjoyed the holiday decorations as well. They provided us a private area off the bar for our own little celebration! It was amazing food and a memorable night!

I didn't realize it until now, but my first visit to the Briarwood would have been when the restaurant was fairly new...some 30 years ago. Over the years we have enjoyed the restaurant as a special occasion treat. In glancing through recent reviews I would say our experience was consistent with many of the others. It was good, not great.... More

One of my mom's favorite activities is high tea with her friends. So, for her 75th birthday we rented a limo and took her and 9 friends to the Briarwood for high tea. I had high expectations, because it's the Briarwood and I've had many lovely dinners there. Unfortunately, I was disappointed. The menu for tea was nice, but most... More

This restaurant really is special, especially during the holidays. Although not inexpensive, the food and service for lunch was exceptional. They go all out for the holidays. It reminds me of Dickens' time. The seafood crepes were delicious as was the fresh spinach salad with hot bacon dressing (aka wilted spinach salad). Others in my party had the prime rib... More

We have dined at the Briarwood Inn for many many years, for a long time it was one of my favorites, not anymore. We use to go their with groups of 10, the wait staff was the best of the best, tux and all. Never wrote anything down and it was always right. Now average service at best for the... More
